i have a bookmark folder with all the boards i look at in it and i middle click it and then go through the tabs and open the threads with less than 300 or so new posts

Yes but it's counter intuitive to find bookmarks there. I use them more often on Awful App where the bookmarks are on the bookmarks tab as God intended.
