Hello, welcome to the Art Assumptions thread. See some interesting TG related art that caught your eye? Post it here with a discussion prompt about the art and let trad games goons tell you what they think. For example this could be questions like: -What do you imagine is the character's backstory? What events shaped them into who they are in this artwork? -What powers/power level do you think this character would have/be? What would they be good at? -What personality traits do you think would define this character? -If you could spend a day with this character, what activities do you think you would enjoy together? -What quirks or habits does this character have that might not be immediately apparent in the artwork? -If the character had a favorite hobby or pastime, what do you think it would be? -What would you assume this characters alignment to be? Etc. You could even post two or more pieces of art you like and ask trad games goons if they would like to provide context, for example: Who would win in a fight Character A or Character B? What do you think the party dynamics of this group would be? Character I, Character III, Character III, Character IV Who do you think would be more [ADJECTIVE]? Character A or Character B? How would you rank these characters from least [ADJECTIVE] to most [ADJECTIVE]? Character I, Character III, Character III, Character IV Etc. Feel free to post artwork of your own characters and have us make assumptions about them!
