Did any goons have to do this type of poo poo?

I hadn't thought about this sort of thing since High School but watched Netflix's "The Program" documentary about the horrible treatment of kids at these sorts of places.

I remember a kid from my high school got sent to one after they found weed in his locker. It was only a month long or whatever and he kinda straightened out afterwards.

Another kid got sent to one after getting into a fight and also selling weed and last time I was back home he was still living in the same suburb and selling weed and living with a bunch of guys who are "in recovery" but also living at a place where a guy sells weed?

A bunch of these places are still functioning and are unsurprisingly in Utah (The Christian Weirdo State). They get the parents involved through evangelical or fundie youth group type settings and are apparently making money hand over fist.

Did any goons have to go to a fake military school?

One of my ex-dommes went to one of those places as a kid. She started doing porn as soon as she turned 18 and made a lot of money which she wisely spent on rental properties so I guess it worked out?

My parents threatened to send me to one but they never followed through.

Now 25 years later I backpack in Utah all the time and my best friend and his wife met as counselors for outward bound so... Lol

Never went to any of that as a kid OP but we got an outward bound camp out here, it's fun to go around the camps at night stealing food and leaving creepy little stick dolls

A very smart little mouse!
i knew some people who got put into these things.

Brace Belden aka @pisspiggrandad and cohost of the TrueAnon Podcast was put in one of these and escaped from it, he has plenty of stories. (he's also the guy who snuck himself into Syria to fight with the YPG against ISIS, but that's another story for another thread)

Before the infamous sex tape Paris Hilton also spent time at one of these

I did lacrosse camp at the US Naval Academy which was pretty wild but was actually alot of fun.

The plebes doing PT outside at 4:00am probably didnt share the sentiment.

It was right after 9/11 so Annapolis was very busy. I remember we had a big tournament and the final game was next to Chesapeake bay and they had a guy play bagpipes before the game.

SEALs were doing training on the beach with inflatable boats.

This is correct outward bound is the "real" legit one that isn't a prison camp

About twenty years ago they started adapting that style of program for use as an open air prison for the children of the wealthy.

They being Outward Bound specifically or they being a nebulous set of people who decided to run prison camps for kids?

Are you sure you're talking about the right Outward Bound? I did one of those trips in high school, we went river raft camping in Colorado for two weeks and it was incredibly fun.

WE GET IT. YOU LOVE GUN JESUS. Toujours des fusils Bullpup Français.
When I was in third grade there was a big announcement with the whole school assembled trying to get kids to join one and I even went to one of these after hours meetings late in the evening one time but was never interested in signing up or going. One of the kids I went to school with and attended the extra meeting did go in the end and the only noteworthy thing I remember is a twist tie ant statue that said kid was super proud of like it was the authentic shroud of turin.

I'd like to work anywhere that they do week long corporate retreats via programs like Outward Bound.

How do you get anything done when everyone is loving around on a ropes course for a week?
