in my teens and 20s I was a guerilla fighter for a still-active revolutionary maoist org (not gonna doxx myself/my comrades by saying which one) until I found an abandoned laptop with a satellite internet card and somethingawful (the front page) as the home page. shortly after discovering the link to the forums I stopped participating in any in-person organizing and instead volunteered my time to write actblue fundraising emails. once we got obama elected I decided that my energy was better devoted to posting about weed and video games all night. eventually I found cspam and well here I am. don't forget to vote this november y'all

always considered myself a 'socialist' while thinking it meant supporting the Labour Party and a welfare state but the Iraq War shook me out of that in my teens and then by 2010 I was on a big kick of Educating Myself and thinking that anarchism sounded good but also this 'democratic socialism' thing was pretty nice. by 2013, thanks to organising with the IWW and also exposure to various socialist and trotskyist parties, realised those were in fact not very good and that marxism-leninism was more on the money. essentially on that kick ever since

im permabanned poster toesestomper58. i first started reading cspam when i was about 42. by 44 i got really obsessed with the concept of "tromp" and tried to channel it constantly, until my thought process got really bizarre and i would repeat things like "incredibly cool and good day in hellworld" and "lmao the bad forum" in my head for hours, and i would get really paranoid, start seeing things in the corners of my eyes etc, basically prodromal schizophrenia. im now on antipsychotics. i always wondered what the kind of "tupm" style of cspam humor was all about; i think it's the nihilism leaking in to the conscious, what jungian theory considered to be the cause of daycrew and glenn syptoms. i would advise all people who "get" cspam to be careful because that likely means you have a predisposition to a computer touching. peace.
