You’re going to read and hear a lot about officiating and special teams play, but to my eye, this series really came down to the fact that the Kings are weak and stupid and cowardly while the Oilers are clever, strong and brave.

Well I crunched the numbers and theoretically the Kings still would not have scored if they had gotten infinity powerplays, so it seems silly to dwell on it

Also the penalty on PLD was... iffy? He knocked down the guy with the puck. I dunno. The handshake line may have been respectful, but right after the game Arvidsson was delivering some pretty powerful fuckyous to someone.
