I work with a guy who needed a shoulder replacement; he wasn't cleared to come back to work for almost 3 months and couldn't do any heavy lifting for another 3 or 4 months after that. It was still better than the pain he was going through, but the recovery sounds like it was a nightmare.

Yeah Stallone just works out with bands now because he got over having hosed up joints all the time. Remember kids: lower weight and lots of reps works just as good. There is no work out just for size

A guy at my office had one done earlier this year, he was back to work pretty quickly albeit in a sling and I think he was out of the sling pretty quickly. He seems back to normal function already.
