nice f4...is your buddy missing his neck or something? Edit: I just noticed his helmet has a dual visor setup. That is pretty cool, whats the scoop? ail fucked around with this message at 22:58 on Sep 25, 2006 |

ail posted:nice f4...is your buddy missing his neck or something? Haha now that I think about it, I guess he is missing a neck. Hes pretty short, and overweight, so that plus a wierd helmet while wearing a jacket does give the impression of no-neck syndrome. edit// I don't think its a dual visor, its made by Nolan. Its one of those ones that can flip the front third of the helmet up to make it like a half-helmet. I think he has this small couple inch wide "duckbill" type visor that is attached to the area right above his faceshield. Although maybe it is, I never really got a look at it. I'll ask him about it. iroc_dis fucked around with this message at 23:01 on Sep 25, 2006 |

You can see my tank bag in the shot I'm coming at the camera - thanks to HNasty for that shot, by the way. Also, I prefer the DragonSlayer shots to the Killboy ones. Particularly, this one: Thanks for the opinion, I like that one as well. About what size is your tankbag? I was thinking about picking up a small one, just big enough for maybe a map, wallet, cellphone, and mp3 player.

They should just homologate the thing, we have enough rich people that will put money down on a bike and wait for years to take delivery. Why not use Amerikkas wealth for something good. Homologate and go racing

KidDynamite posted:How much do you feel track days have helped your riding? Track days help your street riding a bit. Track riding lets you go out and ride in a relatively safe and controlled environment. The speeds involved with stuff like dragging your knee are not terribly safe on public roads. I think most people that start doing track days probably slow down on the street because of the track experience. You realize just how futile it would be to ride in a similar fashion on the streets (dangerous + tickets).

He earned that nickname because he rides with his elbows up and out, like a MXer. Of course, he can drag his elbow as well, but it was his style that got him that nickname.

I don't want to give advice when I haven't done a trackday myself, but it looks like you're getting twisted when you hang off. It's most visible in the last pic. That's keeping your knee up and makes things feel strange. Dropping your inside shoulder should help keep the bike more stable, and you'll need replacment knee pucks pretty soon .

Yeah, it's not really feeling strange, but I do need to drop my shoulder a bit more. More crappy proofs... Maybe I'll buy some now.. I'm on the left, you can see my body positioning going into a turn...

Here's a picture of me getting ready to leave from DFW to Florida. The bike is a Suzuki Boulevard M50. I have put 18,800 miles on it since last summer and it has no oil leaks or any other mechanical issues so far. It's not ideal for touring, but it's all I have.
