I looked around the Ducati site after Iroc's post to see the difference between the R and S, and I noticed that. Like I said, I know next to nothing about bikes. The Ducati/NCR "New Blue" track bike. It's a Sportclassic Sport 1000S that's down to 330lbs. and up to 122hp, with every trick part out there and a snazzy leather seat. I was under the impression that regular, stock street bikes could get 185. I would have guessed that these bikes were modified and could hit speeds closer to MotoGP bikes.

A 600 won't be getting anywhere near that. Certainly not any 750s. Maybe some of the newer 1000s derestricted and modded but it looks like the only stock bikes are Hayabusa and the ZX14

I saw this steam powered bicycle posted on a steampunk blog.  There are some more pics at the site. The inventor died of a heart attack after crashing this one at 73 years of age in 1896. I like that pressure guage. I think I will trick out my '82 Honda to have a wooden choke and a brass speedometer.
