Another solid episode all around. I loved the sports montages and T'ird was just fantastic.

this was the greatest episode in my opinion, the office scenes were absolutely amazing, and the part where they are singing and eric talks in his normal voice made me laugh so hard KAH PAYSH?

Another great episode. The sports song was awesome, and I was glad to see Bob Odenkirk again. I didn't think it really had any weak parts at all.

t'ird and "SPORTS" were great but the rest of the episode was kind of really bad. Not a good stylistic departure

I thought this was the best episode since the second one, the only thing that could have made this funnier was an appearance by Dr. Steve Brule.

The climax of the office scene was probably my favorite part. The other actor's timing was just so perfect. Also, gently caress the Fix. I'm lucky if I can get an episode to play since it will sit at either buffering 0% or "Loading."

That was a fantastic ep. Probably my favorite so far. Eric working out and Bob O were both hilarious, and T'ird's list of things to do was awesome. Actually, I really dug the sports list too. Maybe I just liked everything.

The commercials for this show are so hilarious when you've already watched the episode. I was cracking up watching Tim walk down the hallway with his pants down after the spiderweb skit. It's kinda sad I already can't wait for the DVD of this so I can show it to people when they're at my place so I can confirm their suspicion that I have a weird sense of humor.

Seeing the live show has spoiled the last two weeks for me, because they showed about half of this episode's material and half of the last's during their routine. I think there's only one more bit that was part of the show that hasn't been part of an episode yet - David Cross teaches us about things that guys can do to prove their love to a girl that don't involve the penis. I'm expecting that to show up next week.

But yeah, the show was already mostly spoiled for me since I saw it. I think my favorite thus far is still probably Salame.

God I love this show. And I love you people for having a thread about it. Wooo. I loved TGTTM as well, though it had to grow on me. They have a brilliant sort of humor, just takes awhile to get used to. Tonight's show was great...Last week's was the only disappointing episode so far, I think. But the various slow motions and repeats of the vomiting had me gasping. They're brilliant with the cheesy graphics/songs/cam effects.

I don't see how making the comparison to Jackass makes someone a fanboy Might have something there, since he did the whole intro thing "hi I'm Eric..." followed by a cheesy gag, the camera guy's reaction was so wild. In either case it was loving funny. edit oh man this threads on fire SPORTS

Are you serious? Is this a joke? If you guys are seriously trying to say that Spiderwebs was anything like a jackass sketch, even making parody of it, I don't think I even want you watching the show to be honest. I figured it would eventually get too popular and therefore make it unbearable to watch. It's god drat pathetic that we as a society have gotten to a point where when we see something so original, off beat, and creative, that we have to say OH MAN THAT HAS TO BE A PARODY/TRIBUTE/RIP OFF OF SUCH AND SUCH. It just kills me that this generation flocks right to Bam. Even if it's making fun of him. Another show ruined.

This last episode was great and I'm concurring with everyone when it comes to TIR'D and the Sports skits. There's not enough love for Crystal Shyps and the Channel 5 follow up. Bob Odenkirk is genius. Everytime I've seen him play the Channel 5 "Looking At Film" host he's has had me in tears.

First, it was a parody, everything paralleled Jackass, and I've only seen the movies and a couple episodes of the original show, but it definitely did. It wasn't an homage, it was a parody, most likely with mocking intent. Second, you don't want other people watching the show? Who gives a gently caress. I think you're taking this a little too seriously.

Uh, well, if you want to get off your high horse and ask them yourself you go for it but it absolutely smacked of a Jackass parody to me, which was why I found it so funny. The whole point was that Jackass is a show with a bunch of stupid kids like Bam doing lame pranks that just annoy people and that's what they were doing; a fairly lame prank with a funny reaction. The whole thing was set up to look like Jackass, from the way Eric said he was going to do it to the way the cameraman was reacting to the whole thing. You need to calm down.

It was pretty clear to me that it was supposed to be a Jackass/Viva La Bam parody. As mentioned, Eric starts out introducing himself to the camera and giving the stunt a name, and the random guy just yelling obscenities and laughing at Tim was very much like one of those dudes that Bam keeps around to tell him how awesome he is and laugh at his stunts.

If you don't want us watching the show I guess we should stop, right guys? Sorry we offended you, we'll knock it off now. What the hell, man? I think I can pretty safely say that no one posting in this thread, with the possible exception of you, my good doctor, watches shows like Bam and Jackass (sorry, I have no idea what this CKY is?). But you would have to be living under a rock to not know how those shows work. Of course it was a parody of Jackass and other shows like that, anyone who has turned on a TV or been to the movies in the past five years could figure that out. Why would it bother you that a show you like parodies a show you don't like? You think those shows are stupid, and Tim and Eric agree. This is nothing to be upset about.

NO ONE who compares THIS show to CKY poo poo deserves to watch the show. I can't even BEGIN to see how you are clawing together a comparison, but knock it off. This reminds me of when I was sixteen or so, and really into PUNK loving RAWK. Whenever a group I liked would start to get popular in the "mainstream" (nyuk), I'd get really pissed off because they were "MY PROPERTY" and I didn't want to share them with the "idiots" who could "never understand." Because I'm sort of familiar with this kind of impotent fanboy rage, I'll be the one to play rear end in a top hat here. I hate to be the one who introduces you to this concept, I really do, because it's going to upset you -- but Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job is a television show. Television shows are entertainment. Sometimes they're educational, and sometimes they are 'cultural movements', but they're created by people for an audience to enjoy. Television fandom is not a way to define your cultural identity, and voraciously defending the honor of your favorite programs against the invading forces of popular opinion is ultimately a very futile effort, and an unappreciated one at that. I'm fairly certain that Tim and Eric themselves are doing just fine without self-appointed Guardians of the Meme™. I'm about to say something that may very well rattle you to the core -- Not only do I watch and enjoy Tim and Eric (and TGTM), believe it or not, I don't radiate with a pure hatred of corporate culture. I'm not a fan of Bam, but I really don't care about his show one bit, and my enjoyment of things I like is in no way tied to any ethereal feeling of 'cultural superiority' over people who do. As a matter of fact, I've learned to recognize that the Tim and Eric Awesome Show, like many other television programs, is presented on cable television, which is a populist medium, and is designed to be available to whoever decides to pay for and watch it and doesn't check credentials at the door. As a crotchety old bastard, I can honestly state that I would 'deserve' to watch this show even if my entire apartment was filled with Jim Carey posters and Precious Moments figurines. I pay my cable bill, and as such, I am allowed the awe-inspiring freedom to choose which programs I watch on my own television. Perhaps, one day, when you've come to realize that there are better things about your own identity and personality to defend and take pride in other than what television shows you watch, you'll realize that having other people become interested in things you like is actually a pretty cool thing. It gives you all sorts of common ground with people you might normally have anything to talk about with. I'm sure that for you at this moment in time, it doesn't sound super attractive -- having commonality with the "bourgeious" probably isn't a high priority at the moment. Eventually, however, you'll discover that intellectual elitism is a very lonely way to spend your life. For now, though, you should probably continue to assert that your appreciation for one form of entertainment and your disdain for another somehow equates to an elevated intellect or social stature.
