Did anyone yet request an app that would download a web page, search all links (a href, embedded media, possibly imgs) and display them in a checkbox list that is filtered through a user-provided regexp, downloading all checked files on button click?

Now that I think of it, that might not be such a good idea. Oh wait, .NET limits the thread pool to 10 at a time, IIRC. Also, blank passwords won't work. Got another one which may be useful in stopping leeching and having to download only to upload a file by ftp prog An addition to the Firefox context menu that allows me to save an image or file (exe/zip etc) to my own webspace (it logs in and uploads it to a specified folder, server info is added via the options menu) then spits out the URL of where it was put so I can copy+paste or do what I want with it... Ideally something along the lines of the name "Save to Remote Server"...and have a progress bar at the bottom of Firefox... http://tinyappz.com/wiki/Request:1178258710

I'm using the \n character for linebreaks, which I believe is translated differently with different text editors/OSes. I thought that using this character would sort it automatically... I wonder if this is because I compiled it on a Linux box? For kicks, can you try importing one of the output files into Word or OpenOffice where it will allow you to select the linebreak character? I just imported one I created on Windows XP and used the LF character only as the linebreak and it worked. As for a permanent fix, anybody have a better suggestion than force feeding it CRLF? This results in double spacing in some editors. Re-Edit: I got un-lazy and just did a check for Windows, and outputs accordingly. Hopefully that fixes it for you. Also Notepad still sucks and even with CRLF in Windows still shows long lines. Wordpad seems to suck significantly less, however. Revelations fucked around with this message at 19:08 on May 4, 2007 |

A program that will convert any hex value in decimal value and vice versa. But it will only be working with values that are less then one. So I would want to enter in 1BCA but it would really be 0.1BCA and I would want it to spit out the Decimal version. And another small program that would do the opposite, if I entered a decimal version (like above, it will always be less then one) it would give me the HEX equivalent. These do not have to be separate programs, they can be part of the same interface as long as both can be entered.

This looks like a really neat thread! I don't know if this qualifies as an app, but... I'd like a way of being able to right-click in an explorer window, and in the context menu, have an option to "select random item" or "select random file." (Not open it, just select it.)

I'm up in the boonies, many hours away from home, with my laptop and my cell phone. I realized as I was a block down the street from my house that I didn't have my phone charger, but, big deal, I thought, I can hook it up to my computer and charge over USB. Now, I've set this up on my desktop at home, using a driver from the internet, but the problem is, my drat phone ran out of batteries on the way up, so even though I have the driver installed, I can't get my computer to recognize my phone, so it won't start charging it up. I want someone to write something that forces power out through a USB hole to charge my Razr V3. I'm on Vista. The battery seems to be 3.6V.

Not sure how hard this would be, but I'm looking for a very simple .jpg viewer. Display .jpg pictures in the directory full screen, one picture at a time. (shrunk or expanded as needed to fit the resolution would be nice feature also), the mouse scroll wheel changes between pictures. it only needs to do the current directory, escape closes the program. I know there are programs out there that do that (plus more) such as Faststone Image Viewer, but I was just wondering if there were something even smaller (and free for infrequent use in a commercial setting).

I'm looking for a MAC Address Generator I need a program that allows me to write in 1 MAC Address and have it generate x quanity of MAC Address starting from that. So, if I wrote 00-1A-07-00-3E-7C and told it generate 1000 it would end at 00-1A-07-00-46-4B and i'd have all of the numbers in a text file. I'd like there to be dash between the digits for readibility. Is this a hard program?

This is a last-ditch effort for me. I've been trying to find something lightweight and simple that will take all of the items in a Exchange 2003 Public Calendar and put them into the local calendar in Outlook. It seems MS doesn't have a way to do this natively (which I simply cannot believe and wouldn't believe if I hadn't looked for the last couple of months), and the programs that DO have this feature also sync everything under the sun and want large amounts of $$$ for the privilege. Would something like this be possible?
