A limited edition Ampeg BA-112 bass amp. Supposedly, Ampeg only produced these ones with the diamond toltex covering to give to their dealers as a gift or something. I managed to snag one from Craiglist in perfect condition for a great price. I'm just happy to finally have a bass amp to play my 2 basses through - for the longest time I've just been playing through my PA or direct into my computer.

Sup Ampeg BA combo owner. I have a B3-158. It's sweet, even with the broke pot shaft, and I love it and it's tone to pieces.

Hot.

In regards to the flame-job, about 80% of slap-double-basses you see around have got the flame-job on them, they do look quite cool but my eyes have been a bit saturated by the design.

And I luckily only had to pay for half, which was about $1700. My kick-arse parents payed for the other half.

Oh man. Three things came today in the mail!

1) Fender Deluxe Snap-In Whammy Bar!! :c00lbert: which turns out won't fit my screw in trem, as I feared. :smithicide: It was nice to uhh... look at it though. Much nicer than the one that came with my Squier. Back to Ebay it goes

2) New guitar cable. Nice and retro looking.

3) Bad-rear end new knobs!! WOOHOO KNOBS! :downsbravo: But seriously they're cool.

Items 2 and 3 can be seen here:

Mmmm, a BWB pickguard will look so drat good.

Slap Double-Bass. I came up with a design concept and fed it to the painter at alocal shop who specialises in instrument-artwork (i.e. paintjobs etc.) After showing him about 3 square cm of my idea, in his loving genius he made the design in whole.

And I must say I like it. :)

Just got back from playing it for a show my school puts on to show everyone what the music-students are doing for their final exams. Good fun it was.

I'm going to black on black my HSS strat that I'm trading for from Intel&Sebastian. Difference is that I'm going to get a black mirror pickguard. Cornelius had black-black mirrored strat on stage and it looked wicked.

Well, mine's black on pewter if you want to get specific. And now I don't know if I'll be able to resist getting a white pearl guard after seeing this. My pearl-capped knobs would look so fly...

anyone know where I can buy a new body for my Strat? I like the CAR and all, but my preferred look is the three tone sunburst. I'd prefer it to just be a made-by-Squier Standard Strat body (not Affinity - too slim) due to ease of fitting and price.

We think they're great. In a grand, mystical, neopolitical sense, these guys have a real message in their music. They don't, however, have neat names like me and Bono.
Just got one of these. Going for that Andy Summers sound, and this one does it pretty well. Aside from a Tubescreamer and an OD-2, my pedalboard is pretty much complete.

Oh man, you want andy summers? Put the effect level at 3 O Clock, EQ halfway between 3 and 4 o clock, rate at 9 o clock, and depth somewhere from 2 to 3 o clock, use the stereo out on the pedal, you just saved yourself 300 bucks for the jazz chorus sound.

I cannot express how much I love this amp :) I had to pick between this and Vox's competing model (after a sale they were the same price) but I decided to go with this and I couldn't be happier. It's so nice that it's so small that I can just plop it on my desk, run a cable from my Mac Mini to the cube and play along and easily go back in songs or whatever :)

It may look kinda small and flimsy but actually it's totally rock solid. I tried rocking the guitar around and pretend-bumped into it, and it was fine. Best thing is it folds up to super-portable size.
