In regards to the flame-job, about 80% of slap-double-basses you see around have got the flame-job on them, they do look quite cool but my eyes have been a bit saturated by the design. And I luckily only had to pay for half, which was about $1700. My kick-arse parents payed for the other half.

Oh man. Three things came today in the mail! 1) Fender Deluxe Snap-In Whammy Bar!! which turns out won't fit my screw in trem, as I feared. It was nice to uhh... look at it though. Much nicer than the one that came with my Squier. Back to Ebay it goes 2) New guitar cable. Nice and retro looking. 3) Bad-rear end new knobs!! WOOHOO KNOBS! But seriously they're cool. Items 2 and 3 can be seen here: Mmmm, a BWB pickguard will look so drat good. Pibborando San fucked around with this message at 05:52 on Aug 22, 2007 |

I'm going to black on black my HSS strat that I'm trading for from Intel&Sebastian. Difference is that I'm going to get a black mirror pickguard. Cornelius had black-black mirrored strat on stage and it looked wicked.

anyone know where I can buy a new body for my Strat? I like the CAR and all, but my preferred look is the three tone sunburst. I'd prefer it to just be a made-by-Squier Standard Strat body (not Affinity - too slim) due to ease of fitting and price.

Give the guy a break. If he likes how it looks he likes it okay? I'm at least happy for him. I think it's pretty goddamn ugly but I could appreciate it if it was what I wanted.

Just got one of these. Going for that Andy Summers sound, and this one does it pretty well. Aside from a Tubescreamer and an OD-2, my pedalboard is pretty much complete.

Oh man, you want andy summers? Put the effect level at 3 O Clock, EQ halfway between 3 and 4 o clock, rate at 9 o clock, and depth somewhere from 2 to 3 o clock, use the stereo out on the pedal, you just saved yourself 300 bucks for the jazz chorus sound.

I cannot express how much I love this amp I had to pick between this and Vox's competing model (after a sale they were the same price) but I decided to go with this and I couldn't be happier. It's so nice that it's so small that I can just plop it on my desk, run a cable from my Mac Mini to the cube and play along and easily go back in songs or whatever
