Well they were in a FWD car, so probably would have been better off keeping the gas planted. However they went onto the grass almost immediately and therefore lost all control.

Lift off when your opposite lock in a FWD? gently caress no, you nail the sucker for everything it's got and let the front drag it straight again. No, what got me wondering how they got away with it was the fact they were sideways on grass at 160 kph and you can see the leading wheels catch twice on something. How the gently caress they didn't roll is beyond me.

That's what I was waiting for. They were cookin sideways at a pretty high rate of speed. My guess is that the grass was wet so the car just slid along nicely. They're also pretty lucky they didn't just slam into the wall there.

At that point he also tries to say "no" for the stopping, but isn't really able to and it just comes out as a groan. At least with the rear end incident he was still able to curse.

That was qualifying, not the race. I smacked the wall in the same place in the practice session the next day (trying too hard) and didn't make the race.

But yeah, thats why I flicked the wipers on (on accident) and why I was late on the next few shifts.

He sounds so sad.

My coworker has a Mustang of that vintage with Lambo doors. God, do those things suck. I'm not sure if he ever fixed them, but they wouldn't line up properly when closing, so he had to lift the door slightly and gently press it closed. Took like 30 seconds per door. Bah.
