Sorry Yes I'd totally buy that Camaro for the motor if nothing else, but not $3500, no, $1200, $1500 maybe, heck $1800 could be an option if I looked at it and found the motor to really be in really top notch shape. Big block 455's are never a bad thing to have if they run.

gently caress no, that's cool in a "this is awesome" kind of way. It's practically a motorcycle powered go-cart. It's not nearly as cool as the hayabusa engine Mini, but for a cheap conversion I think it kicks rear end.

deviant. posted:It's hard to tell because the goddamn cameraman won't stop zooming or, you know, point the camera out the windshield. They probably did that on purpose because the car does 0-60 as fast as an F-150. I think that's a really cool idea, but it would be better if they made it RWD like the Mini and if they used a ZX-14R or a 'Busa engine in it for more torque. I just view it as this - if you're going to put that much work into it, why don't you go all-out? I can't imagine it would be terribly hard to set up the same drivetrain they have in the rear.

VideoTapir posted:OKAY PEOPLE, JUST REMEMBER TO BREATHE There's cool because it's fast, there is cool because it's rare (or expensive, or exotic) and then there is cool because "IT IS", this car is the latter. I'd drive it and just bang on it like a $2 whore, and laugh my rear end off the whole time, I'm talking poo poo eating grin. Who cares how slow or stupid it is. Just having chain drive is enough to make it quirky enough to have some redeeming qualities. And hell I've spent that kinda cash on a "good computer" before, and that computer (or those computers) didn't give me near as much fun as that car would. Definitely Craigslist gold I'd say. For the ultimate in "holy poo poo you did what?" awesome, put a 2nd motor in the rear, and have it drive the rear tires, bonus points for using a completely different motor from a totally different bike. Chain drive isn't optional of course, it's absolutely REQUIRED in the rear too.
