Exactly what would make a person want to try stuffing 2 bar into an internally stock, high compression engine? I can only assume that it was done for comedic value, they had a replacement engine they wanted to swap in, and just wanted to see what it would take for a catastrophic failure. http://youtube.com/watch?v=iOcqMOSvpRI 3 bar of boost, apparently. ------ The Chronicles of Bro-magnon and the quest for http://youtube.com/user/Dynoflash Broseph pretends that his dyno queen is suitable for sane driving on surface streets. Intense acceleration momentarily knocks the stupid out of his passenger. http://youtube.com/watch?v=Srm8rgvLQtk Bro-magnon goes questing through the swamp of despair and emerges triumphant with (the means to make) fire. http://youtube.com/watch?v=qoZS7F-Zb5A And the inevitable - running said levels of boost on a drag strip, with slicks. http://youtube.com/watch?v=gIgTab4bQ28 Simkin fucked around with this message at 22:29 on Mar 26, 2008 |

No chance of them all being given standardized pace notes is there? Where someone messed up and put 6L instead of 4L? that would be an incredible gently caress-up.

I guess that's possible too. It looks like one of those corners where you could carry a lot of speed and you only find out you're wrong as you whiz past your apex.

It's probably actually derived from "reconnoiter", which is french. Which means the Brits probably are the ones who popularized it, having learned a lot of their ground warfare techniques from the Frenchies. And borrowed a lot of their words from the Saxons' occupation of England. In other news, here's a 997 GT2 vs a Z06 http://www.autocar.co.uk/VideosWallpapers/Videos.aspx?AR=231915&CT=V Bonus for in-video oxcart comments. I could be way off mark here, but it doesn't seem like anyone in that clip has a clue how to navigate a hairpin like a normal monkey. Everyone either backs into it, or just completely overcooks the exit. Wouldn't it be faster to slow down a bit more beforehand and actually keep power on through the whole corner, as opposed to sliding tail first into the turn and then peeling out?
