It wasn't actually her getting hurt, though, but rather a demonic incarnation she made of her power within the hellscape. It wasn't literally her, and I assume it'd be an entire different ballgame. Let's not forget the last time Guts tried to actually attack a member of the God Hand without interference (his brand started gushing blood like crazy, he nearly passed out, and when he swung the blood, Femto just knocked it away with a glance. Then again, Guts has gotten a lot stronger since then, and the Dragonslayer has feasted on a hell of a lot more demons/ Apostles/ Spirits since then...)

I remember when Flora was handing out magical weapons to everyone Guts declined the axe being presented, and then either Flora or Schierke mentioned that the Dragonslayer had slain so many monsters that it attained magical properties/curses of its own. It may not have been potent enough to wound a God Hand when Guts tried to take out Femto, but I don't think it's too far of a stretch in the future.

I just can't wait to see Femto/Griffith take control of the world and completely gently caress it up. I just want to see it so I can see all the looks on the faces of his human followers. I want to see those looks of adoration get wiped away. Then Guts can come into the picture and gently caress Griffith up. After that, I don't really care what happens anymore.

Anyway, speaking of endings, they should put Miura into some sort of protective bubble, because if the guy gets hit by a bus when crossing the street, there's going to be riots. Was just about to say the same, dont think you can jump in after the Eclipse and think you havnt missed out on something. Volume 1-3 (till chapter 4) really happened between chapter 3 and 4 in volume 14. Even though its hard (atleast for me) to comprehend since Miura changed style from awesome to godlike drawing skills by then. It's been about a year since I've read Berserk and I just treated myself to about 15 new volumes. Last time I read it, Guts & Zodd had just defeated the mist entity. Sadly not much has happened in a year in midland, but it's good to know this perfect epic (and thread) is still alive and kicking. Also I'm converting someone else into it, and I'll probably reread the whole thing myself as well. Would you suggest seeing the anime or reading the manga as a first step into this? I showed a friend the anime a couple years back and he liked it but never went to the manga, which is cruelly stupid I think. I guess I'll try turning that other friend to the manga first and skip the anime altogether. I'll miss having him drink a few beers and putting episodes 24-25 on to watch him become physically ill as I did when I first saw the Eclipse.

I thought that was the last frame of the anime too, actually. It isn't. If you watch the credits all the way through, you see the post-Eclipse Gatsu, equipped with cannon arm, Dragon Slayer sword, setting off into the world to hunt apostles. He had just killed a monster that attacked his home and friends in the mountains, brandishing the Dragon Slayer for the first time. Basically, this frame from the manga. From Berserk - Vol 14, Chapter 3, Page 23.
