It's actually one of my classmate's place, they've got like 7 cars in varied states of modifications, including a civic with just a turbo as the exhuast system, a heavily modded twin tubro 3000gt, ~2002 or so mustang with a blower, a VW jetta that rides like a street luge, and some other $100 cars that they just beat into the ground. This is apparently a common event down there http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IC2aEaoR6Zo&feature=user They had a bonfire this weekend too, and someone called the fire department, who sent a truck to put it out. LOL, oh Grand Prix weekend... UserNotFound fucked around with this message at 23:52 on Apr 21, 2008 |

It was a faulty oil return line off the turbo IIRC. Additionally, I believe insurance got after him about it, as the return line was a known fault and he let the vehicle burn.

There's a school bus factory there, except the chassis-building factory is a couple miles away from where the bodies are assembled. It's a regular occurrence to see the bare chassis' driven down the road on its way to the second plant, but they had "temporary" seats that were bolted in with full seatbelts.

I watched it a second time to see what I missed NOTHING You just missed the humour in someone either a)thinking that performance was at all quick, or b)making fun of Honda fanboys and their worship at the temple of VTec. The latter makes me think of that 0-200mph video, where the guy is actually making the engine noises, and moving the dial by hand. I believe it's already been posted in this thread, so I'll post a truly 'holy poo poo' video instead. Edited because of suck. Some more biek love, now with EBTG. Honda makes some nice sounding bikes - I just wish that every time I went looking on Youtube, there was a video of this caliber for the bike, so I could properly hear how the bike sounds. No music, just engine whine, exhaust noise, and turbulence. VTR1000 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFVwTurKCug&feature=related Suzuki thought to do the same thing, but couldn't be bothered with the extra two cylinders. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zmu_bXmyN0U Mmmm.... doppler effect. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mmsIj-wSmk&feature=related vv I wasn't thinking about you at all, phil Simkin fucked around with this message at 04:24 on Apr 25, 2008 |

Our local scca club has video from the early 80's where the Charleston PD and the South Charleston PD would compete against each other during the Regatta Auto-X. Each PD would take a squad car that was on its way out and do exhaust, tires and what ever else they could to sup up the cars for the race and then they would get sold at auction after the event.
