I am looking for a song that is jazzy and pop. It has a trumpet playing the chorus quick and sexily. What makes this song stand out even more is there is some samples of a girl flirting through out. I might be paraphasing but at different breaks she says coyly, "I find you very attractive" "do you want to go to bed with me" I imagine this song came out sometime in the early 90's but I could be wrong.

Okay, I heard a song on alternative 94.7 this morning and have no idea who it is. It's pretty upbeat, but the (male) singer is kind of whiney. The first words are something like "she don't know something something" with stress/whine on "know". The last line of the verse before the chorus is "you know she just don't caaaaare", then during the chorus a guy is sort of singing along with the tune and going "doo, doo-doo, doo-doo doo doo doo, doo, doo-doo, doo-doo doo doo doo" etc. If it helps any, I believe the song is somewhere in between 7 am and 11 am on this page: http://www.mediabase.com/whatsong/whatsong.asp?var_s=075078082075045070077&MONDTE=6%2F7%2F2008 Edit: Actually, I think that list is for the June 7th, so no wonder I can't find it. Now I'm wondering why they only have 06/06, 06/07, then 06/09. That hardly makes any sense. Edit: FOUND IT. Argh, please for the love of all help me find this song. It came out around 2003, 2004 I think. It was a popular mainstream hip hop song. It was slow, with a guitar riff as the main sample. The chorus was something like, "blah blah and you want to come home with me" or "watch over me" or something that EDIT: Found it after scouring billboard charts: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQBmDorsSwY Aegri Somnia fucked around with this message at 04:19 on Jun 10, 2008 |

I listened to a few songs by a guy a few months ago but can't remember his name. It was acoustic singer/songwriter-ey. I'm pretty sure I saw him on the Vice Magazine website. I think he was from Ohio or somewhere in the Midwest. And he looked totally unlike what he sounded like. A big buff (tattooed?) guy with a really pleasant voice.

As far as I know, this is a track from the end of last year(2007). This is a progressive house track, which I'm sure you aren't familiar with. It was played at the end of 2007 at a club in DC called "Five" My friend, Joel Chandler was playing and I don't think he spun this track but it was this melodic house/vocal house track with this guy, who sounded black who was talking about the following: "Ever since I heard the illegal beat of house, I've been listening to Jack, Chicago and (etc)....I can't believe anyone who listens to the radio. They listen to whatever the radio wants them to like...and by God... they like it! It's alll about the house music, it always has been." I can't understand why everyone thinks DJ is an easy way to get laid! I wonder what house music will be like in the future. I wonder what a DJ will be like. Actually, I don't give a poo poo....as long as we got house...(echo) gently caress I'll put in a sample it's a really awesome track, one of the best house tracks I've ever heard. I'll U/L ir soon if that's allowed, I'm just trying to get an ID.

I was unsure of whether to ask this in CD or here, if I hosed up please disregard. Anyone knowns the name of the choir music in the beginning of the 1996 Romeo+Juliet, the one that plays when the narrator is reading the initial verses of the play? On the same vein but this one I doubt anyone even knows... There is another choir music in the movie "La Jetté" that plays as the narrator is describing the 3rd world war that I would love to find the name of. Thanks in advance for the help.

I have a sort of reverse-identify the song question. I know the song is "Fix Up, Look Sharp" by Dizzee Rascal, and I swear to god I've heard the titular phrase in the chorus, in that voice, before... has it been sampled or otherwise used in something major in the past few years?

I heard this song in a porno movie. It was actually a real legit band but I cant for the life of me remember what their name was. Basically its a Punk Rock band and in the porno they were putting on a concert while some goth/punk rock couple get naked and gently caress in the mosh pit in front of everyone. The band sung like 2 songs and they were actually pretty good. I can sort of remember the chorus from one of the songs and it went something like this: quote:I like guns Any ideas?

I think this chick might have been in the movie too and she is a professional porn star.

Well either way, it's a D.I. song, and I'm asking cuz they also play in Suburbia and there is a pretty graphic rape scene during their song. I wonder if the movie you saw was a parody of that scene or something. The idea of "punk rock porn" doesn't sit so well with me but I guess that's a discussion for another thread.

I'm pretty sure it was the real band playing and not a cover band or a parody or something since they actually sounded pretty good. I was surprised to be watching a porn and go "whoa, the music here kicks a lot of rear end". I think that might be the first time thats ever happened in the history of porn.

No, no, I don't mean that it was a parody band -- I'm saying that I wonder if the scene was specifically set up to be referential to a scene in Suburbia that also featured D.I. providing the accompaniment to a sexual act. I totally believe it was D.I., those guys were/are massive sleazebags.
