Just have all service done, or do it yourself, at the recommended intervals. DO NOT put off changing the timing belts.

AhhYes posted:So is there anything that you oh-so-knowledgeable ones would recommend as far as routine maintenance? Ducati has made strides to reduce maintenance on their bikes so you don't have to take it in as often. However, when you do take it in, it's gonna be expensive because it's a Ducati. If you can take the time to do it yourself you can save a boatload of cash, but you might also void your warranty. EDIT: Ugh, this is the wrong thread to ask in too, sorry. You should probably take it to the Megathread.

To the bone. I'd probably throw up if I saw my foot in that kind of shape. And the chicken skin look of the skin graft isn't much better.

In the US, unless they offer the service and parts free of charge, they cant void your warrenty if you have someone else or yourself do the work. Regardless of what it says in the owners manual. Just keep record of what you do and when, so you can prove it was done.

One, posting questionably NWS material in here without warning. Two, get your story straight, SHE WAS WEARING loving BOOTS. What happened is the truck that hit her essentially did a burn out on her boot, THROUGH THE BOOTS. Here's the most original post about this I could find and if you read the discussion they say she was wearing Alpinestar Boots. Also the rash on her side in one of the pics is from a different accident. http://niketalk.yuku.com/topic/54494/t/Hot-model-rides--motorcycle---crashes--PICS-WARNING.html?page=1

They should make you look at that kind of poo poo before you can get you endorsement. A few good motorcycle crashes in this vid, but the one at 2:50 is epic "oh poo poo". http://www.break.com/index/awesome-compilation-of-racing-crashes.html

That "soft shoe" could be any of a number of different low-top riding boots/shoes, all of which are a good deal more protective than a regular shoe. So unless you can actually identify those shoes, get off my balls.

Man, as horrible as that is, I can only assume it could have been much worse. In my mind if an 18 wheeler meets any part of my body its generally going to be destroyed beyond recognition, the foot seemed generally whole. I'm not going to lie though, I've never seen bones through a foot like that before. They did a hell of a job on that skin graft, comparing the last skin graft picture to the first skeleton foot picture is like a night and day comparison. Edit: If that doesn't push you to buy boots there is a video of a guy wearing no gear at all low siding into a guardrail. It shows his foot literally ripped off and hanging by the skin. The day after I saw that I chose to screw lunch money for the next 2 weeks and buy boots. Trintintin fucked around with this message at 14:36 on Jun 14, 2008 |

9/11 never forget. We got ground zero, The towers, flames all over the place, fire truck design (and obligatory theme-centric license plate), and yeah, the eagle is crying. Long story short, Turtle Parlor and I were taking a trip up to Chimney Rock and were greeted by this bike. I would hate to know how much that cost in air brushing. Oh and something awesome: 1941 BMW R-bike with 4-speed shifter. That thing was loving cool.
