I guess this is the appropriate place to put some crazy online sales. Government Liquidation is like ebay for new/used uncle sam surplus stuff. You can get M35 trucks for 1,500$ and other crazy stuff. Anyone want to buy 1,400 6.2L Diesel engines for 50$? Only 840,000 lbs. http://cgi.govliquidation.com/auction/view?id=1891665 30-50 truck loads, I guess it'll sell for at least the scrap value. The army is converting it's hmmwv fleet to the newer 6.5L Turbo GEP blocks with the Caterpillar electronics package, so anything with a 6.2 left in it is cut up or rebuilt. A friend of mine cleaned up on one these auctions, picked up a slew of transfer cases which we use to troubleshoot and practice on, kind of handy if you got the space for some of this stuff.

Hey, I'm not finding any Craigslist gold these days, because for the past week there's been almost nothing on Craigslist. It doesn't seem to be confined to the areas I browse, it seems to be all over. Every city I've looked at in the /car/ section, there are maybe 8 or 10 posts per day, and that's it. In other sections (at least /mcy/) things are perfectly normal. Dozens or hundreds of posts per day. What the gently caress is going on? I haven't found any mention of anything weird on Craigslist itself. Is there like some systematic flagging of all car posts going on or what?

It could be something automated; I know my local Craigslist /car/ listing was getting hammered by automated scam posts last week and this week it's a drought of all posts. They might have stepped up the posting requirements (or duplicate detector) and old posting methods aren't working.

If that's what is going on they are are definitely overkilling a ...lot.
