I seriously doubt she'd go to Griffith's side. He killed EVERYONE they knew in the Band of the Hawk; that'd stick, I'm sure. Plus, I'm sure Griffith will make a grab at or strike the Elf home. Something I'd like to see later is maybe an apostle/demonic manifestation of the members that were sacrificed. Won't happen, I'm sure, but it's something that crossed my mind

They killed off 99% of Guts' friends, had his best friend betray him, then he was maimed just in case he didn't get the message. This comic is almost like torture porn where the main character just suffers for two decades. Yea, a "happy" ending at this point could be him saying "gently caress this" and going to live in a cave for the rest of his life. As long as wine and meat existed nearby, he wound be ahead of the curve.

Caska was pretty convinced that Griffith had no interest in her at that point. I think she just felt sorry for Griffith and wrote off his attack as trying to prove something he couldn't do. In short, she didn't take him seriously and probably didn't think he was seriously trying to rape her. I think that Skull Knights prophecy was probably referring to a potential fear of going into battle to face Griffith/Femto again. At least, the feminist inside me hopes so. I really liked Caska's character and I really think it would be great if she returned in full glory. The fact that Femto is the body of her son would also cause some interesting complications as well, and I can't wait to see the result. I would love some kind of happy ending where Guts and Caska defeat Griffith and his army and retire to some cottage outside a village where they occasionally participate in monster and demon hunts. And then, a myserious blonde woman slays all the demons and claims that payment is to be made to a man in black...

For some reason, I really don't hate Griffith. He's a real bastard, but for some reason he doesn't inspire the hatred in me that some villains can. Because of that, I can't help but hope that the ending involves some sort of redemption, etc. for Griffith, like him taking down the Godhand. Or, even better, some twisted ending where Griffith ends up ruling benevolently, yet Guts still kills him and collapses the world into chaos. Then it just ends. Gotta love you some lack of closure.
