Hell, lets put multiple cars on the track at once! It'll make the doughnuts around the cones that much more interesting.

Ok, so I wasn't actually serious about the "out of business" part, but a series like this would be amazing. Really, look at the X-Games rally events. With a 2 sectioned track, cars can run at the same time and it doesn't seem too timed.

Probably because the engines were intended to produce as much power as possible (often with large bits missing) without regard to fuel economy or emissions, which results in truly glorious noises.

Last summer I had the chance to attend an airshow at Duxford, which included a formation flight by something like 12 Spitfires, and the sound of that many Merlins and Griffons running at the same time is probably the coolest thing I've ever heard.
