1987 VW Vanagon Subaru WRX Powered - $15000 http://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/cto/931091821.html This is great for those Pacific-Northwest car enthusiasts who can't decide between Subaru and VW. (I grudgingly admit that this is pretty awesome, though). Pretty Little Rainbow posted:12A Rotary/Motorcycle engine obviously. Rotary swaps run into big problems on the GT, I think because of the transverse-leaf front suspension. On paper, a GT plus a 12A/13B/whatever is a match made in heaven, but I don't think I've ever seen evidence that a running example exists. The only way to make it "less slow" without re-engineering the whole goddamn car is to get an Opel 2.4 and upgrade it. At the end of it you might have 200hp but at least it fits in the car.

This guy that lives near my parents had a cherry 67/68 mustang, full restored. He sadly never EVER drove it. Just kept it under the car port. His wife would put potted plants and poo poo on it. Eventually, the car was gone completely, and now in its spot is a hot tub. Yeah, that now has plants and poo poo on it. My dad tried to buy it many times, cash in hand. The same story was "Im saving it for my son". his son is a 20-something with a riced ford focus hatchback. Oh well, hopefully the car got a good new home with actual use.

Great little starter bike that a person could probably get for $700-ish (around $500 or so US). I'd be all over this if I knew someone just starting out. It looks mint and has 14K KMs (under 9K miles). http://lethbridge.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-motorcycles-1980-Yamaha-SR250-Excellent-Condition-W0QQAdIdZ91187283 quote:1980 Yamaha SR250. Complete and everything works. Buy yourself something nice with all the money you will save on fuel! This bike is awesome! Asking $900 O.B.O. Will consider trading for items of similar value (Utility trailer, welding machine, plasma cutter, vehicles, other?) Let me know what you have. Will pay/take difference in cash. Bike is in Lethbridge. Contact through email, or call/text 403-892-4148. More pictures available. Thanks for looking. slidebite fucked around with this message at 19:12 on Nov 30, 2008 |

I've emailed and talked to the seller up until it sold but i did not buy it. No matter what i bid the guy who won would outbid me almost instantly so once he bid it above 10k i bowed out. It would have probably went for a couple grand more if i would have kept bidding. We actually may have located a similar one closer to my location so i think he's going to check it out and see what he can get it for. He was prepared to go over 10k but i wasn't considering the guy i was bidding against really wanted it worse than i did. I set a hard price of what i want to pay and once it gets there i'm done and this was one of those cases.
