Is there some way other than size and black border on the later models in which one flat panel iMac looks different from another?

I'd give that to nobunny. But anyway, who cares? Why can't people accept that some live differently than they do? If this is a joke, it's really tired. It was by page 2. "Living like poo poo" isn't like being a neonazi or immensely stupid and it doesn't need to be incessantly harped on.

HAHA, no it's not, I just put stickers on both of the desktops because I have a massive amount of Apple products (iPod classic, Nano (gone), iPhone, MacBook Pro). One of the desktops has XP and the other on has Ubuntu.

It was a joke... it just died out somewheres in the middle of the thread and I decided to bring it back. No hard feelings to TraceTheory.

Really, you had to point out that one of your 360's is modded? There's no homebrew community for it at this point, and so you're basically screaming to the forums that you're a pirate. The piracy isn't even the big issue for me, it's the stupidity of screaming from the mountaintop about it that I'm bothered by.

Well, the enV verizon never took back when the scrapped my old phone and gave me the enV2, the blackjack is a friends which im fixing for him (needs a new power button, his fell off), the e815 is my backup phone, the i760 is my current phone, and I'm selling the enV2... I have more, but they were just not on my desk at the moment.

edit: Also, no homebrew community? What are you talking about? I know for a fact there is because me and a few friends were some of the first in it...

I think it's purely an aesthetic decision. When I was looking at the floor models they both looked nice and seemed sturdy.

Personally, I chose the T legs. It seemed like they would be less in the way if I swivel my chair, and I personally think they look better. If you get the T legs, when you are attaching them just make sure that they are on straight; somehow, one of mine ended up slightly crooked.

I'm still on my first. And uh $60 per game or $200 for an 360? I mean if you're only going to be playing 3 games then I can see your point, but if not..

Right? :( And more specifically...

How long have you been using it and how do you/did he like it?

I've had one of those at work for about a year and a half now, it sucks, because the seams between the glass panes stick up about half an inch. It restricts your monitor and keyboard placement to either one side or the other, you can't do the corner.

Screws always seem to be loosening themselves too. And 98% of all monitor arms won't work with a glass desk without serious modification. So yeah, I'd rather just have a wood desk I can drill holes in and modify.

Perhaps you should get a quality glass desk like the one Tap has...

Or do you have his? :tinfoil:

Well, it's okay as far as glass goes. Very sturdy yet lightweight (the corner leaf held a 19" CRT for several months with no problem). Super easy to assemble/disassemble which is nice considering how many times I've moved it and the glass still looks brand new. I dust/clean it once a week. I got it at Office Depot but don't remember the exact cost... somewhere between 125 and 150. I do like how the panes sit flush with the supports.

I have two "Neo-Flex by Ergotron" arms holding my side monitors on a glass desk. All I had to do was insert a 2" x 2" square of 1/2" plywood between the bottom of the glass and the lower jaw of the arm clamp. Works great.

I was thinking the same thing. I'd put some 2x4's or something to prop those boxes up a few inches off the floor.

I can't remember the last time I used a CD/DVD. I buy games online (steam, direct2drive), music and movies online, etc. I don't think I'm unusual in that respect. Or am I?

I actually have two of those at home that my monitors are on. It looks like yours are smallish though - I would be doing it with minimum a 24", and my main monitor at work is actually a 30" Cinema Display, so I'm pretty sure that would just break the glass in half if I tried.
