I heard a song on the radio earlier about half way through and I really liked but have no idea what it is called.

It sounded kind of like Led Zeppelin or a similar band and made a number of references to lord of the rings such as "met a lady in Mordor and Gollum snatched her away" or something along those lines.

any assistance finding its name would be appreciated.

Another longshot. Here goes...

This is a song used as the background music in commercials for Ion Television, if any of you can find it. It's kind of a hip-hoppish song with a female vocalist and a staccato pseudo-violin hook. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

This is pretty random. Anyway, a few years ago, Kanye West was on an MTV show where he was talking about his childhood and what he listened to while growing up. I remember him laying down and putting on headphones. It was like a look bad in his life. He talked about his grandmother and stuff a lot. Anyway, during this show, he talked about some of his influences. One of which was "Mass Appeal" by Gang Starr. If anyone remembers this, or can find a video of it, I am trying to remember what the other songs he mentioned were.

I have a music video and a few lyrics stuck in my head from something I must have seen in around 2000-2001.

The video had lots of red, a theatrical setting, at least two main characters/singers, subtitles that displayed what the characters were silently saying and a reference to a 'Mauzer' or 'Mauser'.

The lyrics are something stupid like "baaaaaby, baaaby" ".... .... it's too dangerous" "open your eyes while you're still asleep".

I'm starting to believe this doesn't exist on the internet anymore.

Seconding this. The composition, though, seems to indicate this being something homemade via ATARI tracker, though, so my guess it could be found somewhere on here.

I can understand this really isn't much of a lead, sorry :shobon:

So I've decided this is the best video on YouTube, and watch it pretty much everyday. This has the unfortunate side-effect of getting the song stuck in my head.

Normally I would just pick out lyrics and google it to identify it, but I can't understand a goddamn word this guy is singing. Any help?

Here's a ridiculous one that's been bothering me for a good while -- it's a piano piece actually, no vocals or other instruments.

I think it played during a drama film trailer that was otherwise silent, except for the piano tune. It's fairly simple and slow (and I know I've heard it more than one place so it can't be too obscure) and its defining characteristic, at least from the part I remember, is that there are three low piano notes repeating in the background while the main melody, which is higher pitched, plays over them. It's very soothing, but the fact that it has no lyrics and I can't recall where I heard it, means that I'm stuck on its name.

This is probably not enough to go on, but I really want to hear this one again. It was beautiful :(

I don't know where this was originally posted but I saw it quoted by the people above me, and from the description I would guess Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata.

I've never seen it written so neatly

I was in Krakow, Poland for a few days last spring. One of these days while we were sitting in the Town Square at one of the restaurants a stage got set up and there was a big performance. I thought I had lost the video clips I had taken from it, but I found two of them today.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khL-UYciQ4k
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RAm9t36RyHI

Does anyone have any idea who is performing this, or what it's called?

edit: I looked up the date I recorded the clips and found it was for a 750th anniversary ceremony for Krakow. Apparently it's all one long cantana done by Piotr Rubik specifically for this occasion. It's called Zakochani w Krakowie. All the videos I can find of it are the same performance I saw, I can't seem to find anywhere to buy it on a CD or anything.

I have a copy of Ugly Cassanova's Sharpen Your Teeth, and it has Things I Don't Remember on it. I have another, much better version of the song on a mix CD that sounds like it's from the studio instead of live like Sharpen Your Teeth's version sounds. Where is this version from?

Does anyone know where this sports clap originated?

Clap-clap-clapclapclap-clapclapclapclap-LET'S GO!

Was it originally a song where the clapping went over the music? Or did it start as a cheerleading thing?

Also, since I've witnessed confusion when talking about this particular clap, I'm not talking about the one that goes:

"Let's go [team name], let's go clapclapclap"
