Click here for the full 2048x1536 image. This is from the road trip I took on my EX500R, from Phoenix, AZ to Las Vegas, Nevada, about 310 miles 1-way. Stock seat and everything else. My crotch was killing me, and it was fairly cold! This was just a couple weeks ago. This was the last ride I got to take on that bike, since it now has engine problems that cost more than it is worth to repair rest easy old friend

Just hoping the momentum would die off before he hit the wall? Ok on a second viewing I see him very briefly brake before he revved the engine, so he probably also clutched in.

Crosspost from the Moped thread! THEY'RE ALIVE! Got my two POS Kinetic TFRs (1999 and 1997) running over this past week. Black one (1999) needed a carb cleaning to run (reliably) and some electrical tape around the headlight (screw casing broke, taped to secure headlight and keep it from rattling around). Purple TFR needed: carb cleaning, new fuel line, fuel filter, and exhaust. The previous owner cut the baffle off the pipe, so I took the straight pipe that was left on (and loud as all gently caress) and welded a $4 Ace Hardware lawnmower baffle on it. Seems to work pretty well, so far at least. The red moped is a 1982 Honda PA50II (camino/hobbit). While trying to get the lights to work, we shorted something out and now it won't run. Hooray! I've had it for about 4 months and I've put over 600+ miles on it commuting from school to my apartment. I hope I can get it running again. Video of me goofing off on the Purple TFR is at the end of the post. Click here for the full 500x756 image. Click here for the full 600x450 image. Click here for the full 700x525 image. I think the bike drifted to the outside lane, which the Porsche driver was not expecting. I give kudos to the driver for maintaining his cool and was able to handle the situation. I don't blame the biker, since when do you ever expect a car to come up from behind you while racing down a highway?

It's been awhile since i've posted. I'd like give a BIG thank you to Z3n for helping me with the shipping for parts to rebuild the zx-10r that i crashed in June. This is what it looked like after the crash. After the rebuild it just didn't feel the same, so i returned it to stock and traded it in for a new model. I'm in love with the orange, which has gold flakes in it. Just got a Raceshield kit put on it (not sure what it's called over there, a plastic film thingy to prevent stone chips). Still running it in, but i've already got some plans for it since i'm not happy with the power delivery and stock fuelling. raffie fucked around with this message at 11:56 on Dec 28, 2008 |

I once had a Honda Superhawk that blew its motor. I had the motor replaced but I never really had confidence in it after that. Ended up trading it for a different bike. Where do you live that requires numberplates on the front of motorcycles?

FunkyJunk i'm in Singapore, where everything is strictly regulated and we need front plates of the proper size and spacing. The new 10r is dissapointing in stock form, compared to my nicely set-up 04 or my ex-gf's stock 06. It's weaker in the low and midrange, but the top-end rush is scary. It's more vibey than the 06, which was in turn more vibey than the 04. It's also noticably heavier, but i put that down to the stock exhaust. It's not as comfortable to ride, because of the vibes and the more compact dimensions. I guess the handling is ok for a stock bike, but i'm not comfortable with the OEM Corsa IIIs the bike came with. The huge improvement is the brakes compared to the previous models, they feel really great for a stock set-up with rubber hoses. I'm not going mess around too much with this new bike. Just the usual PC3, filter and exhaust to fill out the lowend and midrange(the 04 exhaust systems bolt directly on), maybe some minor suspension tweaks. I'm not gonna track it as much as it's my daily transport, maybe just a trackday now and then to muck about. I'm planning to ride it for maybe two or three years then will probably trade up to a zx14. If i strike the lottery today, i'm gonna keep this, buy a zx14 and also buy my old bike back to do a full rebuild, if they haven't sold it yet. I really miss my 04.

I think that anything is going to be a bit of a letdown, compared to how nice your 04 was...AK20s on the front, all the toys all around. Seems like the 04 is actually the better setup for the street anyways... But hell, just drop it down a tooth in front and that'll fix the "midrange issue", right? Never mind the wheelie burnout combos you'll pull anytime you get hard into the gas Looking forward to watching the mods on the ZX10... Jharkov, that looks like loads of fun...I need to beg/borrow/steal a dirtbike for offroading stuff.
