Teresa is fine. She's way better than Dameshek because at least she'll disagree with Adam sometimes and isn't constantly up his rear end. Plus, like I've said earlier in the thread, she's the only one that even makes a feeble effort to keep the show moving. Without her we'd be listening to a four hour left turn arrow rant every single day.

Adam is best when he has some opposition. That's why he was so entertaining on Loveline when no one around him except Drew was a fan.

what?
I've been a huge loveline fan for a couple of years now and I keep coming back to this one lightning round he did that's on youtube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1bzThWZrxuI

Does anyone know when this was aired? It's my favourite lightning round ever but I've yet to hear the show it was taken from. Someone on the comments thinks maybe '00 or '01 but I dunno.

Dameshek loving sucks, he's such a massive loving tool. I'm so glad he's not around anymore. Just because we had to put up with a year of Danny Bonaduce, don't let it cloud your judgment into thinking that Dameshek didn't suck hard. People are way too hard on Teresa. Unless they replace her with Dana Gould or something, I'm perfectly happy with her in that seat. The show has been on the right track since 2008. Nemo pretty much nailed it on the head.

I do like Teresa, I think her oversensitivity is an excellent contrast to Adam and as was mentioned before she keeps the show on focus when Adam's off topic rants threaten to take over. She's good with the "How say you?" callers. She's also had a decent education and keeps up on books and current events, which again is something Adam's show needs since he is clueless in all these areas.
At first I didn't like her largely because of her bullshit filler news segments. After her legendary fight with DAG where she snapped and admitted that she didn't like reading the news + didn't want to read the news + didn't give a poo poo about celebrity gossip + was only doing it because it's her job and it makes Adam funnier, I respected her more and now I feel bad for her during the news segments.

But seriously this off the Yaz/trying for pregnancy poo poo is tired already and it's only been a month. At the same time I fear her taking pregnancy leave and them replacing her with someone horrible.

I tune out when she's speaking most of the time, so I'm not familiar; what's the deal with her upbringing? Just how lovely was her childhood?

I'm piecing this together from memory, but the gist of it is:
Her mother walked out on the family shortly after Teresa and her brother were born, then showed up a bit later. Her mother had serious problems and this led to her parents divorce. T ended up living with her mom, who was neglectful in a similar way to Adam's parents, letting her regularly travel alone on the 3 hour sketchy Greyhound bus ride to her father's house when she was as young as 8. Her father is kind and loving but married a woman who was Disney stepmother-esq evil. She referred to Teresa only in the 3rd person and was generally cruel and emotionally abusive, enough to give T her many complexes and an eating disorder.
Her death was the happiest day of T's life, and she won some kind of award for writing about it, which you can read here:

I listened to this episode like two days ago. You can almost hear the :aaa: in Adam's response.

Also, I found the New Year's Eve 2000 episode on one of the DC++ hubs, where Drew's Wife is there. That was a good one. And drat, she's got a sexy voice.

Thanks for this, I stopped listening to stern a while back because it just got really monotonous. That clip was everyone on their A game. The Amber smith banter had me laughing pretty hard "was she naked" (background) "he was".

It amazes me how smooth and unrattled dr drew is. Artie is beating on him the entire interview and he just acts as if he doesn't hear it.

The torrent is basically dead, as far as i know. The full, completely up to date archive is on newsgroups now. I'm tempted to get access and download it, then torrent that. it's well above 60gb now.

Star Citizen is everywhere. It is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it's fidelity when you look out your window or when you watch youtube

I've already made a 65 gig torrent based upon the old torrent, Loveline Archive, Loveline Central, and the work of the fine fellows over at the Adam Carolla forums. It's mostly de-duped and everything.

It's 65.4 gig, contains 1,853 files, and I'm only 92KB up. If something were to be arranged where higher bandwidth people took over, I could manage to do a full seed and pass off responsibility to everyone else.

The old torrent is still going, but I can't find an active link for it anywhere. Bizarre, because its still in my torrent client and its still downloading at around 100kb/s. Quite a lot of people already connected to it as well.

I heard an Incubus episode and it was just the DJ and the guitarist, they talked about how they met, hang out, etc. It does exist.

I searched my archive for all the member's names and it didn't come up. Google says they were on on 2008-08-19, 2006-11-29, 2002-02-18, 2000-01-12, none of which I have.

I also find it hilarious that http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Loveline_Episodes isn't updated after Adam leaves.

edit: Found a great episode, 2002-02-11, guest is Willie Nelson. He rolls with the show beautifully, it has the origin of Drew's kids wanting Adam to build them a tree house (they wrote Adam a letter), and includes an early mention of Adam's dislike of spitting in porn, which he's been ranting about on the ACS lately.

Also I realized I miss Anderson's genuinely hostile drops.

Here's the 2002-02-18 one which would be closest in time to what Pyroblaze is looking for. I don't think I have any of the other Incubus appearances.

http://rapidshare.com/files/185119163/Loveline_-_2002-02-18_-_Incubus__Dr._Bruce_for_Drew___CF_.mp3.html

It does have just the DJ and Dirk and they are talking about how they met, so it sounds like the one Biscuit is talking about. But it has Bruce (Dr. Spaz) in for Drew, so I don't know if it's the right one.

2003-01-12, no guest, from about 14:45. Drew somehow manages to say something to Adam that sounds just like "gently caress you" but doesn't believe it until Anderson plays it as a drop. Easily the funniest thing I've heard on the show, Adam's laugh is hysterical.
