I was pretty bummed to hear the news this morning, but as I was catching up on some shows from this week and heard the Prisoner David segment, it got really  . Coming on Adam's show was probably that guy's entire livelihood, and even though he's a convicted felon he always seemed like a decent guy.

Due to their contracts being renewed for this year and Adam's cryptic reference to them still being "around" (in regards to podcasts I think?), I have some possibly empty hope that they'll switch to podcast only since that seemed to be their listener base and the figures they gave last week for podcast subscription hours was in the millions. Oh god I hope so. I'm so distraught, it's almost comical.  I've had tv shows I loved canceled before and that's one thing, but this seems so much different because this was 4 hours EVERY DAY. It was a part of my workday and the only decent morning show I've ever heard. I just can't think of starting work without hearing that peppy Bosstones trumpet intro. I'll have to download that song. Bad times.

I don't want them to do that for the UK version, but if it were necessary to appease advertisers 15 minutes less Top Gear wouldn't gut the heart out of the show. 2 minutes off guest interview, 1 minute off news, less padding during the public transport versus car segments, and you you've got a good 5 minutes already.

I liked the show. I just couldn't get up early enough to listen to it live. I'm downloading all of the eposides avaialable on Itunes right now now that I've heard the news. I'm sad that it's been cancelled. I don't know what the hell is going on with that station. Leykis has run out of material from his gimmick and is now giving financial advice. Tim Conway Jr. cant stop talking about his daughter and has random rear end guests. And why the hell do they keep Danny ( I can't stop talking about myself ) Bonaduci around? the triplets, John and Jeff? Hahahah, gently caress that. Adam was the best on that station hands down.

Adam said the show is definitely over tomorrow. He's starting a podcast, which he's not getting paid for. It'll be about 45 minutes. He said he'll bring Bryan and Teresa in eventually. It sounds like he's going to try to build an audience, then make the podcast bigger.

As if there wasn't any convincing needed that Jack Silver is a monumental retard, Adam cemented that fact today by stating that Jack hated Dana Gould and didn't like him on the show. Every time I knew Dana was going to be on the show, I'd be so excited. Way to not know the audience.

As a constant podcaster since early last year I'm very sad about the Carolla show going away, although I am slightly happy I may not have to hear another rant about Kellogs or Octomom. Looks like someone added a ton of old stuff to the Podcast because iTunes just tried downloading a ton of old stuff going back 2006.

Dana Gould is the best guest by a mile, even better than Joel McHale and DAG, which says a loving LOT. To do better radio than DAG and Adam Carolla is something that I simply never believed to be possible until I heard some of the Huell bits. Oh, and I don't know if anyone else has checked this out, but Joel Hodgson was on in the middle of 2008 and he stuck around for the latter third of the show, and he was absolutely perfect. Everyone needs to check that one out. I kinda wish he'd do more of that poo poo, given how great he was with Adam.

I'm looking forward to Adam's podcast on Monday morning, maybe more than the last ACS show. (If you weren't listening Adam said he'd record a podcast Sunday night and post the podcast by this Monday on adamcarolla.com ) It'll take time for him to get into a groove with it, but I have no doubt that an un-censored Adam will have a huge following eventually. I also love that he's taking this leap of faith.
