Now with more bumper: I need to adjust the hood latch and get the rest of the bumper hardware on it but I think it looks better like this than bumperless

Not much to look at compared to everything else in this thread, but hey, it's my first car. Mk.1 Volkswagen Jetta TX from 1984. What does TX stand for anyway?

I love both cars on this page so far, and would happily drive either one. I'm going to have to find a good MkI VW at some point.

2005 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. Bumper to bumper warranty runs out tomorrow. I'll get some pix up when I go inspect everything I possibly can to make sure anything I need repaired / replaced under warranty gets phoned in tonight or tomorrow... if it's still light out of course.

Those are easily the wierdest goddamn Volvos in recent memory, and the one time I saw one on the street, I did a double take, as I had no bloody clue such a car even existed.

It's funny, growing up in Sweden I never fully appreciated how weird the Volvo 480 is since I saw them around fairly often. It's only in recent years I've come to realize how delightfully strange that car is.

The C30 has the same lopped-off-rear end look to it, though I agree it's not anywhere near as weird. Mother-in-law had two in the late 80s. Interestingly, according to Wikipedia: [The Volvo 480] was originally designed for the North American market as can be evidenced by its US-spec front and rear side markers, not used on European automobiles, but in the end was never officially sold there. I never knew. I always though it actually came from the US, seeing as it looked so out of place here.

Its AWD but with FWD bias from what I understand. I just went away to the beach in my mates R32 and I was kinda underwhelmed. The DSG gearbox was terrific but the v6 didn't really inspire and the orgasmic exhaust wail was criminally absent inside the cabin. Also the cabin was really bland for such a pricey car.

Its time for an All-American, Detroit iron circle jerk. Here is the Rustang ('07 GT w/ 5MT) all spruced up for some autocross madness in the glorious PNW. And here is said autocross madness. After a successful day of hooning, the Rustang returns to the 'rents house only to suffer from extreme penis envy. 7.0 > 4.6 The 'Vette is my father's '07 Z06. I had a chance to fly out and pick it up with him at the factory in Bowling Green. If there's enough of a demand for Corvette porn, I'd be glad to post the pictures from the National Corvette Museum. Here's a picture I took the day we picked up. The only cure for penis envy is of course to spend dizzying amounts of money on mods. I had the pleasure of installing these at the end of last summer to add to the growing list of mods (though almost entirely suspension based up to this point): Notice I opted for catalysts because I'm a hippy and <3 the trees.

Instead of opting for the actual NCM delivery, though, we went on the day his car was actually being built (since taking delivery in Bowling Green, when we live in AZ, would have sucked). I hope you did the factory tour, as well? That was awesome.

We did the factory tour as well (of course no pictures), and it was very impressive - especially as I'm currently studying Mechanical Engineering. We even had a chance to start one of the Z06's coming off the end of the line.
