I heard this classical (orchestral) piece on the radio yesterday, and I have recreated the one tiny snippet I remember. The presenter mentioned Mendelssohn, but I'm not sure if it was in reference to this piece or some other one.

There are two different versions of the mix...one is more downtempo, and the other is more clubby/housey, but I'm pretty sure both versions use different mixes of the same songs. That link leads to the more downtempo one. Unfortunatly, it's only like 8 minutes of the mix, but hopefully it'll be enough to determine if it's what you are looking for or not. TheSpecialistHat posted:The only trance track I can think of is Cosmic Gate's Exploration of Space. If you're gonna look for it, make sure you get the 'extended version' mix. It's an awesome track. It's only 8+ minutes though but it could've been thrown in together with other tracks for a 60 min mix. Usually all the hour-long tracks are just mixes of a bunch of different tracks composed by various artists. I found the song. I had it saved as WMA on a cd. I wasn't able to find the song when I played the CD in my car because my cd player only plays mp3's - the file never showed up in the playlist. It wasn't until I put the CD in my computer that I found the little bastard! The file name is called meganite_tuscania.wma - so I'm assuming it's a meganite mix, recorded in tuscania? I don't know. I looked online for this name and it's nowhere to be found. Apparently nobody has uploaded it to any site (with that name at least). I will upload the song to imeem for the world to share. I'll upload the link when I get that done. Thanks for the suggestions guy, I like the songs you both suggested! Four years ago a friend showed me a track that he found on Limewire aptly tittle, smurf.mpg. It began with a relatively soft marching beat that was quickly joined by a small group of children singing in German completely off beat. The children were then countered by an intense, loud, barking German singer. This went back and forth a couple of times before they finished the song by humming in unison. Naturally, the first and only lead I could come up with is Rammstein, but I haven't found anything of the sort, so far.

So I call up the local Medical scanning joint and they put me on hold. They had this lovely little piece of music on there, just a Piano playing, and I grabbed a recording off my phone with a cheapass microphone. Does anyone know what it is? I've uploaded a clip onto Youtube, along with a lovely photo of Antonio Banderas. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ro592rTQV4 Note: Yes, the audio is pure poo poo.

I've got these two short instrumental songs labeled 'Track 8/Track 13' by Black Sabbath that have been sitting in my iTunes forever. They sound like this: 1. 2. Can anyone identify them for me? I've got no idea how to try to find their names without any lyrics, but I think they probably are by Black Sabbath.

I've been randomly googling to find this, but I have NOTHING to go on except for the fact I can hum the entire thing. It's driving me nuts. So I was watching Extras, and when the credits rolled, a Cat Stevens song played (called Tea for the Tillerman). Immediately upon hearing it, another song got stuck in my head, my girl flipped her poo poo because she said it reminded her of that exact song too, and we've both been going nuts all evening trying to figure out what song it was. It's basically some 80's power ballad kind of thing with really intense vocals, like dude is laying on the emotions thick. I can't recall a single word of the lyrics, but I know how the lines are built, it's like, "blah blah blah WHITE, blah blah blah BLACK, blah blah blah and blah blah blah and blah blah blah BACK" and then what I guess is the chorus is just like "oh oooooooh, oh oh oh oh-oh oh-oh" (I think he actually says that, I'm not substituting what the lyrics should be here). If anyone can make sense of this, I'd really appreciate it.

I listen to KCRW (in Southern California) when I am at work late at night. They play a song every once in awhile and also use it for their bumper music. It's an upbeat poppy electro-kinda song and the hook is a girl saying something like "Whaaaaatcha doin', what-whatcha doin'" over and over in an upbeat way. I always miss when they give the name of the song and I have been googling all day for it. KCRW has track listings but I don't think it's called "Whatcha doin" because I don't see that on their tracklisting. In exchange for answers, I'll remember you in my prayers. <3

Alright, two things that I need help with: 1. I heard some funk song that sounded like it was from the 70s. It had a female vocalist and a really strong bassline. I just jotted down a few lyrics from the song. Google has not helped much since they're very generic. The lyrics are phrases such as "can you feel it" "funky sensation" and "party people." Very generic, I know. In advance, since I can see this being suggested, it is NOT "Can You Feel It" by Mr. Fingers. 2. Bell Biv DeVoe is the correct spelling. Thanks. bumpizza fucked around with this message at 15:24 on Mar 8, 2009 |
