I just got back last night from the Harvest of Hope fest in St. Augustine. Kind of couldn't see all the bands I wanted to because I sort of had to babysit someone the whole time, but did get to see Bridge & Tunnel Saturday, plus Anchor Arms on Sunday. Both sets were great, and I think Bridge & Tunnel were being filmed for the HoH DVD. If so, it should be a really great DVD.

God drat I would have loved to have gone to this. Basically the Fest 7 2.0.

This has probably been discussed in this thread before, but I was late to hop on the bandwagon: Cock Sparrer loving rules.

I've got Shock Troops and Guilty as Charged. Are any of their later albums worth checking out?

Is anyone here going to Chuck Ragan and Tom Gabel in Australia? I'm going to Newcastle, Sydney and Canberra and I can not loving wait. I love Chuck's album and Tom's new EP, plus HWM and AM! are two of my favourite bands. How do they go live? Do they play any covers?

Also, Propagandhi were awesome live a few weeks ago and Supporting Caste is getting continuous plays on my ipod. Really solid album.

Not particularly, but you should pick up The Decca Years for their pre-Shock Troops stuff, even if some of the songs are the same.

I saw Chuck Ragan Live on the revival tour and he was kickass. Tom Gabel wasn't there but it was Ragan, Tim Barry, Frank Turner, and Ben Nichols. They all played their own songs than played together at the end.

I wish we'd have gotten Frank Turner in Milwaukee. Not that Austin Lucas isn't awesome, but I love Frank Turner.

Speaking of HWM, I still can't get enough of Wollard's solo album. loving amazing.

Hey since it's the punk thread just wanted to drop in and say I'm going to see one of my teenage idols Ben Weasel tomorrow night! And Dan Vapid is going too be there to so it's ALMOST Screeching Weasel, which is probably as good as I'll ever get to seeing them again. I saw them live back in '93 and holy goddamn I am so excited to sort of see them again my brain hurts.

Masshysteri (Ex Vicious) is now on a US tour. Be sure to catch them if they are playing your town. If you live somewhere around Virginia you should definitely come to the show on Friday. It's Masshysteri, Government Warning, Guilty Faces, Towers, and my band Southside Stranglers. It's going to be awesome.

Yeah I've heard from multiple people around Indiana that every time they play it's loving insane. I know the second they break into Amphetamine Addiction I am going to lose my mind.

P.S. Saw Masshysteri followed by Government Warning tonight, and it was one of the best shows I've been to in awhile. Masshysteri is definitely one of the best bands around at this point.

As far as this years fests go, I'm heading out to Chaos in Tejas. The chance to see Judgement, AI, and Warcry was just too good to pass up. The only reason I won't be losing my poo poo to Judgement is probably because I'm gonna record it and have myself a nice souvenir. I will probably be loosing my poo poo at this show though:

If you are in Michigan, you could come to this as it will be awesome.

Yeah Chaos In Tejas is looking so loving amazing as well. Cocksparrer, Annihilation Time, Peligro Social's last show, sweet Japan bands, that's going to be great. We are getting the Crude and Unit 21 tour here with Wasted Time. That should be a lot of fun.

Ah sorry about the late replies to the last page, but yeah, they didn't end up playing the AS220 show due to the singer breaking edge. That's what my friends told me and they are in bands in the local hardcore scene, and more than one of them confirmed it. Seems reasonable.

I know this is an older post, but I'm fairly certain that the singer, or at least some of the other dudes in the band broke edge a while ago, when they were on tour with Another Breath. (who have a new album coming out soon)

Wow, Owls! are pretty well known in the screamo revivalist scene. People who are fans of Saetia and Hot Snakes and City of Caterpiller etc. are aware of Wow, Owls!. I'm not a huge fan of them myself, I thought they were a pretty mediocre act, but I can understand the appeal if you're super into that kind of music.

that's a pretty sweet line-up. Pulling Teeth kill it live, as do Ceremony and Rise and Fall. Is this one of those cases where two tours are meeting on the same night, or have tours really gotten this big? All 5 of those bands could easily headline a show anywhere in the U.S...
