Bonobo song with a slightly weird high, possibly child's voice saying/singing something to the rhythm of the music. I think this is repeated, and occurs somewhere near the middle but I may be wrong. Any ideas?

Velocirocktor posted:I need help identifying a song my friends and I heard at a bowling alley last night and couldn't peg. It was a classic rock song, mid-tempo, and it had a piano playing a simple riff over and over, from the intro onward. Very similar to Hold The Line by Toto, which is what I thought it was at first but I was listening for the chorus to make sure and I didn't hear it. My friends thought it was a Kansas song, which it could be. There's also a decent chance that it was, in fact, the Toto song, and the bowling was loud enough that I missed the chorus. At any rate the bowling was loud enough to make it hard to pick out lyrics so I can't Google anything.

Maybe I'm just crazy though. I guess I should recommend the Dio song to you. It has a simple synth riff that plays over and over throughout parts of the song, but aside from that I doubt it's your song. Definitely not it, I'm a big Dio fan and would have known right away if that was it. My friends are certain it was Hold The Line after they listened to it so I'm reasonably satisfied I just missed the chorus. Thanks, though. It's The Go! Team - Get It Together, which you may or may not have heard in the trailers for Little Big Planet.

Josh Ritter played a song that I recognized without the rest of his band during the encore at his show at Diesel in Pittsburgh. I'm inclined to say that it's a cover rather than one of his, since I think I remember hearing it on the radio done by somebody else. It was a mournful folky tune that referenced the Johnstown Foundry. Any ideas?

A few months ago I was out hitchhiking. Two guys who picked me up were listening to a CD that I was sure was Lenny Kravitz. There was a great cover of Let it Ride by BTO. But as far as I can tell, Lenny Kravitz never covered that song, which makes me ask "Who did?".

I've heard this song dozens of times over the course of my life on radio stations, but it never really popped out at me until yesterday...and now I can't find it for the life of me. Anyway, I'm not sure how the rest of the song is, but at some point most of the instrumentation cuts away except for the percussion, which hits at a slow druggy pace while the vocalist croons in a deep voice something like "I'm gonna keep on lovin' you..." Unfortunately, it was on the store radio and the volume was low so I couldn't get anything else out of it. I believe it's from the '70s or maybe even '60s. EDIT: Also pretty sure the rest of the song has a bluesy vibe, but I could be wrong. EDIT #2: It's not by REO Speedwagon, Teri Desario or B.B. King. Carmageddon 2 had a soundtrack made by 2 artists, one of them was Iron Maiden but I can't remember the other one. I've had some mp3s in my collection for years and even though they dont sound quite as awesome as I once thought they did, I would still like to find out who made them. Here are the MP3s. Edit: Never mind I just checked Wikipedia, it was Sentience.

Jumping on this thread for a little help too. Last night I was working the "Joan Baez" concert and she played a song that had some awesome lyrics. The only line I remember her singing is "You have nothing to hide from me", and it's about finding that perfect someone. I've tried googling the lyrics to no avail, so hopefully there's some people here familiar with 60's-70's music that can assist. Gracias!

This is an odd request but it bugs me that I never found out this song every time I drive to and from my hometown. It was playing a lot on Air One Christian Radio in So. California about a year ago when it was kind of a hit. It sounded like a young emo-ish band, and what I remember from the song is that: The verses just have the drum's snare and bass beating with two guitars playing melodies that was like Mars Volta / At The Drive In style. The chorus was "Foreeeverrrr is was sitting around, and now foreeeeeEEEEVERRR..." (lyrics are probably not right but the singing of 'forever' was prominent). What the hell is this song?

A friend played a Young Jeezy track for me this weekend and I didn't get a chance to ask the title. I don't remember much of it except it had a sick beat and at one point Young Jeezy says something like "sounds like their is a monster in the trunk" at which point the beat kicks back in.

This should be an easy one, but it's driving me absolutely nuts. The band I'm looking for is pretty mainstream, and they have one video that came out in late 2008-ish where it's just the band members sitting on a couch completely still while a bunch of people spray them with silly string or something, but the footage has been sped up to many times the normal speed. I wish I had more than that, but the only thing else I can say is it sounds like a lot of really poppy emo rock like All American Rejects and Jimmy Eat World, but I'm pretty sure it's neither of them. Any help would be appreciated, because this has been nagging me for weeks and I'm not sure why. voodoorootbeer posted:As soon as the first few notes played, I knew that was it.
