Anyone here use the Korg DS-10? Is this the appropriate place for Korg DS-10 discussions? I've been having a blast with it since I got it in December. Hell, I even stopped playing the guitar because of it. I would love to hear what other people have done with it, especially if anyone has used the wireless syncing to build more complicated songs.

Wow, Arturia AnalogFactory is on sale at MusiciansFriend for $99. Hell of a deal for a really nice sketchpad synth, great for getting ideas down fast and just a blast to play with.

Uploaded a few of the songs I made in Korg DS-10 today. http://tindeck.com/users/Chainclaw The ends of the songs are really rough because of how I recorded them. I plugged the headphone jack of my DS into my computer's mic port, and used Windows Sound Recorder to record the songs. This is probably my best: This is my favorite: I'm still playing with all of the interesting noises I can get this to make.

I make them guess who it is. You guys have been all kinds of good rear end bands according to my friends. Keep that poo poo up. She is so much better at timbre control than the guy that sings with you guys. He sounds good on duets though like smudged. For tonight would rule if anni t sang on it. Keep up the hard work. You got those bass starting to sound like danger mang.

I usually just do all the music and then let them have it. sometimes daniel comes up with something more creative.

A li'l sketch I made a couple days ago. It's a work in progress (especially the arrangement, it needs to flow better I think) but I'm feeling it so far.

Sounds good. I would put a multiband compressor on the whole track and bring them lows up. Then I would put a limiter on the whole thing for right now to get a little more loudness cleanly, but a lot of people are like gently caress NO don't put a limiter you will kill your dynamics, but its cool. I like the track, but the "rock to the beat" sample needs some modulation on it slightly. I think a band pass on the vocal moving slightly would add some interest on the sample make it more musical I guess.

It's hip-hopish but I think it fits under the electronic group. I made this beat from scratch and stuff, which I've been doing a bunch lately. It was a megaman + ti mash up, but I made the drums to go over the megaman beat and then structured the song out of the ti acapella (standard pop song form, so sorry if it repeats a bunch without vocals.) I made up and threw the lead on at the last second but I think it sounds decent, thoughts?

I'm having a bitch of a time getting the super-saturated wall-of-bass sound that's so active in trance and house right now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QV8eiSA4vqc I know the kick/bass sidechaining, but I seem to just end up with a sound that's bassy as all hell, but pretty much overtakes the entire mix. Anyone suggest?

Howdy guys, I've got a quick question for you: Is there any way I can isolate the vocals off a track? I'm getting really into Ableton Live and I'm confident with my beat creation, I just wish I could drop some vocals into the mix. Ideally, there's a website out there where people share vocal samples, but if that isn't the case, I imagine I can use an EQ to isolate them? Thanks guys

It's a pain in the butt, and since you just want random vocals I'd look for acapella files rather than trying to make one yourself. I just found this blog, you might want to check it out: http://acapellarchives.blogspot.com/

Sorry, didn't mean to imply that I want random vocals. I'm looking for top 40's pop, RnB, as well as old stuff like Madonna and Michael Jackson. If I have to do pull out these samples myself, what's the best tool to isolate them from the rest of the track?

You don't have to do it yourself, there are high-quality acapellas for tracks like those all over the internet if you look a little. It's questionably legal but honestly if Girl Talk can make a career out of it I think you will probably be okay.

I'm getting pretty sick of the limitations of Abletons Simple Delay, and I read something about how Abletons reverb isnt true stereo, it sums the input to a mono signal before producing the stereo output. Can anyone recommend some good delay and reverb vsts, particularly ones that have stereo imaging parameters and dont kill my cpu, if thats possible.
