Just topped off the front differential and changed the oil. The previous owner must not have done it in a while because it looked like Hershey's syrup.

Stared at the location of the block coolant plug perplexedly for a while before going to the gym. Tuesday I actually drained and flushed the rad...then stared at the block drain plug for a while. How the hell are you supposed to get this thing out? Click here for the full 910x650 image. The engine mount is right beneath it so I can't get at it from the bottom, and I can't read it from the top. What the hell?

Claybar lubricant dries quickly in the sunshine. I should have been up at 5 in the morning last sunday for a wash/claybar/wax, but I got my poo poo together at 10. I wish I had a garage.

removed the starter in a ford taurus, disassembled said starter, found problem with starter, made a weak attempt at repairing starter, installed badly repaired starter, removed failed starter again, found a good starter, installed starter. I worked on my 83 starion with a friend too. We jacked the car up, pulled the oil pan, replaced a set of perfectly good rod bearings, found a busted roll pin stuck on the crank timing chain gear, removed broken roll pin (the problem was the motor wouldnt turn over by hand easily, infact it stuck hard enough for me to break a rib trying!). I still need to torque the bearing caps down and put the oil pan back on. I also re-injured my broken rib, I could actually feel it move. broken rib is really putting a cramp in my style

Got the new wires on the Camaro a few days ago, and fixed the power steering pump. Apparently it was missing two of the bolts that bolt it to the front of the engine, so it was flopping around, pissing all over my wires. Got a custom exhaust cutout installed and it sounds awesome. Not as loud as the LS1, but the old LT1 still sounds mean. I've now got 6 weeks to get my subframe connectors installed before I haul the Camaro up to Texas Motorplex in Ennis, TX for some Friday night 1/4 mile fun.

K&N intake on my '03 EB Explorer. It needed more growl and even romping it at every stoplight the computer-reported MPG is steadily climbing. I don't understand why K&N used 95mm hose clamps on a 95mm silicon tube however. Why not just use 105mm and save everybody the trouble of having to shoehorn every hose clamp on?

Just make sure to clean it religiously. If you don't maintain the oiled filter it'll allow a lot of particulates to get into your engine.

The two tone interior is awesome, that's the only thing I wish mine had but black/red wouldn't look so hot in a blue car. Check out g8board.com if you want, good information over there.

Replaced the rear struts/springs on my girlfriend's 96 Escort LX. Because it's a hatchback this involved dismantling the entire trunk before you could even take them out. Not a problem, though, because the bolts were rusted to the struts and those fuckers were NOT coming out anytime soon. All done and she rides smooth now, though.

My car has a goatee as of last week. It's not low enough to worry about scraping but it doesn't look like one of those trucks they race in the desert anymore either. Now I need to clear up those headlights.

Had the left rear tire fall apart while going 70mph in traffic in the VW. Luckily just lost half the tread and it held pressure. Limped it home at 25mph then tossed the spare basket weaves on it...now it has a wide stance and looks funny but drives very nice. Sadly the BMW emblems on the caps didn't make it any faster.

Cut my muffler off, so tomorrow I can put a new one on, although it sounds way too good right now so I'm tempted to leave it until I get a ticket. Also rotated my tires because I realized they were on the wrong sides.

I removed my oil pump, replaced the pickup seal, put the timing cover back on, put half the oil pan bolts back in, then realized I forgot to put the oil pump gear bolt back I pulled all that stuff off, put the oil pump gear bolt on, and put the timing cover and oil pan back on before the rtv dried. Time stamps on the pictures says it took me 15 minutes.

New tires (Goodyear Eagle GTs). Holy crap, it feels like a totally different car now that I got off the unevenly worn winter tires I've been running on for too long. I think I just cut my road noise in half. Also dumped Sea Foam in just about every orifice possible.

Pay off the car first or get it pro tuned before you get more power adders. I know the power is intoxicating but you gotta put first things first.

That's why I said "I need to get some cash", rather than "I'm going to order parts now". I'm done "big" mods until 2010 at the earliest... I'm focusing on paying it off now, may pick up a Mugen grill and a rear window spoiler to round out the aesthetics, but that's about it. Plus I like leaving myself stuff to look forward to. I've had the car almost 3 years exactly (7/12), so I haven't rushed to this stage.

Went to Auto Zone and bought everything I could afford for my car since I had a 20% off coupon. The list was pretty drat short, since I'm broke, but it included new spark plugs and R-12 to R134A conversion high and low end valves. Then I flipped it off because I just read the detailing thread and the clear coat on my car has failed on pretty much every body panel.

I put touch up paint as needed on the door edges in preparation for badly-needed door ding guards. Last night it rained and I found water in my rear footwells. The rain kept me from preparing the floor for the new carpet and the water makes me wonder where it's coming from as the headliner is dry and I replaced the weather stripping and installed ventshades a couple of years ago. Windows were up, too.
