Bean_ posted:Heh, I saw a Cavalier hit a turkey at 70mph on the highway last year, and it busted the entire loving windshield into the car. I'd hate to think of what it could do to a helmet. I would be much more worried about what it would do to someones neck - it's definitely the weak point in the equation rather than the helmet.

One of my earliest memories is of a road trip in our old Trooper, with our bikes on the roof rack going through a tunnel in NE PA. Three huge fuckoff turkeys came in the exit of the tunnel, and everyone subconsciously ducked inside the Isuzu, waiting for the sound of wrenching metal and splattering avian mass. They must have been some ace toms, though, because they apparently cleared the bikes without incident. There couldn't have been more than a couple feet of clearance between the bikes and the tunnel roof. VV Holy poo poo. Too big even for a tank, though, shame. sirbeefalot fucked around with this message at 19:01 on Jul 26, 2009 |

I did do that to a ptarmigan (I think) in Canada last weekend at about 90mph. All that was left was a thin film of blood on my helmet and some small flecks of ptarmigoo.

Dude would have to be standing up to top that, which I don't think I'll ever see. I mean seriously, what is even the loving point once you go that high? Can he even brake or turn?

Just a few shots from my ride down Topanga Canyon Blvd yesterday. Traffic wasn't too bad, but the road certainly wasn't empty. I played a little frogger to get some of these shots. Facing North on TCB Sweet Hog, Bro. Wheee! I wasn't getting pulled over here... Malibu's pretty nice.

Gregg's custom Hayabusa. Most notable feature would be the custom tail, makes it look a lot better in my opinion. Link here: http://thekneeslider.com/archives/2009/07/14/rockstar-hayabusa-a-subtle-but-radical-custom/

The story takes place around 25 years after the events of the original Tron, and the cyberverse has become far more advanced and deadly in that time. It definitely makes sense that the light cycles have radically changed, now they're on a 3d plane instead of a 2d one.

Here's the V Star 1300 I picked up on Wednesday. I love it so far. It doesn't have a TON of features, but they added the basic ones where they count: floorboards with heel shift, EFI, 2 trip odos, a clock, a gargantuan saddle (this thing would hold a 300 lb dude easy, fortunately I have a long way to go on that front), and a nice fat front tire. Plans for the bike are simple. While under warranty, bags, windscreen, throttle tamer. Once warranty is up: pipes, airbox, and a power commander.
