Picked up this '03 CBR600RR track bike on Monday. Needs fork springs, head bearings, a map on the Power Commander, a rear tire, and me to take it to the track. I still think it was a steal at $2300. Click here for the full 1600x1200 image. Click here for the full 1600x1200 image.

There's a ton of aftermarket stuff for monsters, though for older ones it's a little tougher to find certain stuff.

My brand-spanking-old Kawasaki KZ1000P12. Retired cop bike originally all the way over in Missouri. Leaks a bit of oil, which I'll eventually fix. So far I've been getting the electrical all back up to snuff and doing fun things like registering an out of state vehicle. Oh, and check out the awesome parking spot I made with my own two hands. Chiming in with the SV crowd, here is my 2003 SV650, which I started riding on two and a half year ago, been riding for 25000 km through 9 different countries in Europe and which I'm now selling to buy a R80 GS. Those pictures are from my two trips to the North Cape and down to the Pyrenees. I wanted to post riding reports if anyone's interested. I didn't paint the wheels yellow, by the way. I guess that either the dealer I bought the bike from took them from another bike or the guy(or girl) owning it before me was a big fan of Sweden.

Golden hour glamor shots of my Seca 650 rat bike (and not the cool "ratted out" kind, this is just neglected): I've had it for 10 years. It's actually running awesome right now, I've been riding it to work almost daily the past few weeks. The missing gauges are the most embarrassing part, but will probably be the last to be fixed. Then again, the seat is shameful too. Upon further reflection the missing headlamp lens is what kills it. God, the whole thing is a disaster. But that's why I enjoy riding it: it shouldn't work at all, but it does. Despite it all, I'm sure even this is a more CA-friendly ride than my Goldwing. So there's that. I'd day you might as well do a cafe racer conversion on it while you're at it. How do the gauges get ripped out like that in the first place?

Slim Pickens posted:I'd day you might as well do a cafe racer conversion on it while you're at it. How do the gauges get ripped out like that in the first place? I have no idea about the gauges. It was given to me by a friend (S), and it was given to him by (D). S never removed it from D's driveway, or even started it. I think D crashed it, since there are big scuffs on the pipes and on the brake fluid reservoir. The latter I suspect has something to do with the gauges. S had it for a while, then realized he was rich and had no use for such a thing, so he sent it my way. I got it started within 45 minutes. Notice the clubman bars- I'm 25% cafe'd already. Now that I've tried and liked them I'm more amenable to the idea than before (I had standard bars, then drag bars after I dumped it and bent the standards). My dad had a Velocette Venom that I rode a few times so I know what a truly authentic cafe racer feels like. It's pretty extreme. The Seca is much milder and I will slowly work towards that end. Thanks for the comments.
