I don't get the Republican voter's ideals. So, a lot of them want government to "stay the gently caress out of people's lives", but then a lot of them want Christian ideals, telling people what they can and can't do with their bodies. Helping fellow Americans with social programs = gently caress NO. Telling people how they should behave morally = MAKING GOD SMILE.

A successfully-planned and placed toll road would therefore make money, while an unnecessary one would fail, which ought to tickle their "free market" hardons.

Shouldn't a free-market conservative not only be in favor of toll roads, but be in favor of making MORE roads operate this way? Or is it just that they're such giant babies that they can't even figure that simple thing out?

Hay guys, out this Rape
Boss again. I guess this was supposed to be a sweet burn

quote:

A man walked into a very high-tech bar. As he sat down on a stool he noticed that the bartender was a robot. The robot clicked to attention and asked, "Sir, what will you have?"

The man thought a moment then replied, "A martini please."

The robot clicked a couple of times and mixed the best martini the man had ever had.

The robot then asked, "Sir, what is your IQ?"

The man answered "oh, about 164."

The robot then proceeded to discuss the 'theory of relativity', 'inter-steller space travel', 'the latest medical break throughs',etc.......

The man was most impressed. He left the bar but thought he would try a
different tact.. He returned and took a seat. Again the robot clicked and
asked what he would have? "A Martini please."

Again it was superb.
The robot again asked "what is your IQ sir?"

This time the man answered, "Oh about 100". So the robot started discussing Nascar racing, the latest basketball scores, and what to expect the Dodgers to do this weekend.

The guy had to try it one more time. So he left, returned and took a stool.... Again a martini, and the question, "What is your IQ?"??

This time the man drawled out "Uh..... bout 50".

The robot clicked then leaned close and very slowly asked,

"A-r-e y-o-u p-e-o-p-l-e s-t-i-l-l h-a-p-p-y w-i-t-h O-B-A-M-A?

You might suggest to your aunt that actions like that can endanger the church's tax-exempt status with the IRS. They can advocate political issues in general, but when it gets down to specific people, the trouble starts. I don't know if "ignorant bashing of a political figure" is sufficient, but it's enough to be a cause of concern.

AMERICA NEEDS A CANDIDATE WITH THIS PLATFORM!!

I HAVE DECIDED TO BECOME A WRITE-IN CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT IN THE YEAR 2012..

HERE IS MY PLATFORM:

(1). Any use of the phrase: 'Press 1 for English' is immediately banned. English is the official language; speak it or wait outside of our borders until you can.

(2). We will immediately go into a two year isolationist attitude in order to straighten out the greedy big business posture in this country. America will allow NO imports, and we'll do no exports. We will use the 'Wal-Mart 's policy, 'If we ain't got it, you don't need it.' We'll make it here and sell it here!

(3). When imports are allowed, there will be a 100% import tax on it coming in here.

(4). All retired military personnel will be required to man one of the many observation towers located on the southern border of the United States (six month tour). They will be under strict orders not to fire on SOUTHBOUND aliens.

(5). Social Security will immediately return to its original state. If you didn't put nuttin in, you ain't gettin nuttin out. Neither the President nor any other politician will be able to touch it.

(6). Welfare. -- Checks will be handed out on Fridays, at the end of the 40 hour school week, the successful completion of a urinalysis test for drugs, and passing grades.

(7). Professional Athletes -- Steroids? The FIRST time you check positive you're banned from sports ... for life.

(8). Crime -- We will adopt the Turkish method, i.e., the first time you steal, you lose your right hand. There is no more 'life sentences'. If convicted of murder, you will be put to death by the same method you chose for the victim you killed: gun, knife, strangulation, etc.

(9). One export of ours will be allowed: wheat; because the world needs to eat. However, a bushel of wheat will be the exact price of a barrel of oil.

(10). All foreign aid, using American taxpayer money, will immediately cease and the saved money will help to pay off the national debt and, ultimately, lower taxes. When disasters occur around the world, we'll ask The American People if they want to donate to a disaster fund, and each citizen can make the decision as to whether, or not, it's a worthy cause.

(11). The Pledge of Allegiance will be said every day at school and every day in Congress.

(12). The National Anthem will be played at all appropriate ceremonies, sporting events, outings, etc.

My apology is offered if I've stepped on anyone's toes .... nevertheless....

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Sincerely, Bill Cosby

Please forward this to everyone you know, no matter which side of the fence they're on.

This is a hoot .... sad, because it is TRUE ..... but a hoot!!!!
By the time you read through this YOU WILL UNDERSTAND "TENJOOBERRYMUDS"...

In order to continue getting-by in America (our home land), we all need to learn the NEW English language! Practice by reading the following conversation until you are able to understand the term
"TENJOOBERRYMUDS".

With a little patience, you'll be able to fit right in.
Now, here goes...

The following is a telephone exchange between maybe you as a hotel
guest and call to room-service somewhere in the good old U S A today......

Room Service : "Morrin. Roon sirbees."

Guest : "Sorry, I thought I dialed room-service."

Room Service: " Rye . Roon sirbees...morrin! Joowish to oddor sunteen???"

Guest: "Uh..... Yes, I'd like to order bacon and eggs."

Room Service: "Ow July den?"

Guest: ".....What??"

Room Service: "Ow July den?!?... pryed, boyud, poochd?"

Guest: "Oh, the eggs! How do I like them? Sorry.. scrambled, please."

Room Service: "Ow July dee baykem? Crease?"

Guest: "Crisp will be fine."

Room Service: "Hokay. An Sahn toes?"

Guest: "What?"

Room Service: "An toes.. July Sahn toes?"

Guest: "I... don't think so."

RoomService: "No? Judo wan sahn toes???"

Guest: "I feel really bad about this, but I don't know what 'judo wan
sahn toes' means."

RoomService: "Toes! Toes!...Why Joo don Juan toes? Ow bow Anglish
moppin we bodder?"

Guest: "Oh, English muffin!!! I've got it! You were saying 'toast'...
Fine...Yes, an English muffin will be fine."

RoomService: "We bodder?"

Guest: "No, just put the bodder on the side."

RoomService: "Wad?!?"

Guest: "I mean butter... just put the butter on the side."

RoomService: "Copy?"

Guest: "Excuse me?"

RoomService: "Copy.. .tea..meel?"

Guest: "Yes. Coffee, please... and that's everything."

RoomService: "One Minnie. Scramah egg, crease baykem, Anglish moppin,
we bodder on sigh and copy ... rye??"

Guest: "Whatever you say."

RoomService: "Tenjooberrymuds."

Guest: "You're welcome"

Remember I said "By the time you read through this YOU WILL UNDERSTAND
'TENJOOBERRYMUDS' ".....and you do, don't you!

It seems pretty clear to me what this email is getting at. The perfectly articulated hotel customer? The barely understandable room service? Just look what's happening to our beloved English language (send alla them foreigners home)! :911:

I think it's the barely concealed "I'm Not Racist, But..." subtext that's just dripping from this thing that makes me hate it all the more. While my mom wouldn't pass on a wackjob wingnut anti-Obama email, something like this slips right on past her radar and into my inbox (and the inboxes of my siblings, too).

The best part? The font for the entire email was the classic crazymail 20-point, glowing pink Comic Sans that the internet of the 90's taught us to know and love. This alone, I think, is a perfect visual example of the cultural/generational gap that we've currently got going.

1. Why require private companies to offer only English. What if their customer service serves more than one country?

2. Ok, shortages and inflation for all! Hope we don't mind running out of oil, or want out of season fruits in the winter. And I don't think that there are any cars made 100% in the US of US parts, so no new rides. The "Big Three" all use parts from Japan, Mexico, and Canada, and also assemble the cars there.

3. Again, make it so everything is so expensive that no one will be able to buy anything and no country will want to sell to us.

4. First of all, if you're retired, you're done. Not getting into the simple logistics of this version of the Siegfried line, retirees are generally older and have all the health problems associated with that.
And good luck trying to draft them, you'll have a revolt.

5. It's original state started by paying out immediately to people who hadn't put anything in. It's always been that way.

6. What? Other than being punitive, I don't see how this is going to help. And how are you going to pay for the schooling? Taxes?
So, if you keep getting good grades you keep getting money? How high does this go? Through college and Master's studies?

7. Why should we care if professional athletes use steroids?

8. Because Turkey doesn't have any crime...

9. I think OPEC will find other markets, and after our 2 year freeze on wheat exports, which will have killed the farmers, I'm sure the rest of the world will just buy from Russia.

10. Ok, does this mean defunding the DoD as well? If we're going to disengage from the rest of the world, we don't need the large military we have.

11. You know it was written by a Socialist, right?

12. Isn't it already?

Thank you, but no, I'd rather not live in Somalia.

The idea is that Wal-Mart's selection is so large that if they don't have what you're looking for, you don't need it. I guess they're trying to say that if what you're looking for isn't made in the USA then you don't need it.

But considering the shear amount of consumer goods that the US imports, I don't know how they think the country would survive for those 2 years. I mean, the literal machinery that keeps our country functioning would fall to pieces for lack of spare parts. There is no way that enough companies could be founded, factories built, labor hired and trained, to make up the difference, leaving aside the massive amounts of money that would have to appear out of no where for this to work.

If the US tried to go back to being a closed system in a 2 year time frame, anarchy would be the result. The author of the letter wants the US economy to go back to what it was in the late 40's, without realizing all the implications of that.

What do you mean "go back to being a closed system?" At no point has the U.S. ever been "isolationist." The history of U.S. foreign policy since the very beginning of the country is one of opening and securing markets.
