Yeah, those pics I posted are all the real bike - I don't think that video is CGI. They unveiled it at the Milan bike show today. While I can understand the bug look might not be for everyone, personally I love it. However, saying it looked better before???? Seriously???? Old: EDIT: The old Multistrada was around $11k. Hopefully the new one won't be double or anything stupid like that. Doctor Zero fucked around with this message at 03:14 on Nov 10, 2009 |

And if that video isn't CGI (except for a few clips like the glove clicking the button), then it has been post-produced to such extreme degrees that it might as well be. Even the guy in the background looks motion captured.

I have no doubt that there's some serious shenanigans going on in that video since it's meant to be a showcase introductory video and not any kind of serious walk-around.

I've been making GBS threads on Moto2 since they announced it but I'm coming round to the idea now - there's a hell of a lot of independent teams getting in on it and we could see some great racing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fNS0JpJ34c I got a chance to ride a snow-hawk a few years ago (made by the same folks), it was top heavy and slow and just sank in the snow. quite unimpressed. However this looks a lot better, since you can just mount it on a nice light and fast bike.

It looks a lot better than a snow hawk, for sure. Have they gone out of business? It seemed like a cool concept, but I heard it was junk and too heavy. pretty much limited to 4-strokes though, unless you want to premix on a longer trail ride. How's the reliability? it seems like a lot of linkage and joints to possibly break on you. Slim Pickens fucked around with this message at 11:21 on Nov 13, 2009 |

There's something about post-carb turbos that makes me cringe, although it probably works fine. Hey look! It's an air charge with fine misty atomized fuel at a ratio perfect for combustion. With a dab of compression-ignition sensitive lubrication oil to boot! Let us compress the hell out of if with a searing hot turbine wheel.
