I just saw Unwelcome Guests play the most awkward show ever. They played a great set for only about 3 people and myself and were really good sports about it. They have an album coming out on Kiss of Death in January. http://www.myspace.com/unwelcomeguests

I can't find a copy of The Heimlich Maneuver by Zero Boys anywhere on the internet, be they through legal or illegal means. I already have the LP, I just want something more portable! Unplug This Machine is one of the best alt-rock songs I've ever heard!

I don't post in NMD, ever really, but I felt the need to share this with people after I heard it on my college's radio. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsU_uzJBDrw I'm gonna probably see these guys in Dec. even though their other songs are sort of lame sounding.

Went back a few pages and didn't see this posted yet so I'll go ahead. I discovered the band Kidcrash from this thread and really enjoy their music. If you have been following them you know their new album is titled Snacks. Well they haven't put it up for download on their site but they have linked to a review on their facebook that has the album available for download. It's great quality except for the last track which isn't volume normalized or something (it's quiet). Get it here If you liked Jokes this album is just as good so I recommend checking it out.

It's not nearly as good as Jokes, but it's still really good. I think I put Jokes as one of my top 5 albums of 2007, but it'd be a big struggle for Snacks to reach top 5 for this year. Also, if you search around blogs, you should be able to find a version with the last track's volume normalized.

I'd like to get into folk punk. It seems like a logical progression from my favorite style of punk, '77\early punk. I already listen to the staples of Defiance, Ohio, This Bike Is a Pipe Bomb, and Andrew Jackson Jihad (kinda). What else is there to be found? And to the guy looking for anti-police songs, try gently caress Authority by Pennywise.
