No more from my rightwing boss.

Last tuesday he asked me, as a "diehard Obama supporter" if I was dissapointed with him yet. I said somewhat but probably not for the reasons you think I should be and started to explain why I think for example the current HC bill was looking like poo poo but he cut me off.

Wednesday morning I got fired.

He is a hardcore birther who is stocking up on shotgun ammo for the upcoming race/class war led by the "socialist commie friend of the family" who is illegally in the whitehouse. Plus his 81 year old bladder has been failing him, had some growth removed and its been 6 months of bleeding and incontinance so he's been extra cranky. Also keep in mind I am his only employee so the business is gone along with the 75-100k a year he was getting for doing nothing but sitting at home staring at the millions in his various accounts and buying gold coins while Rush blared in the background.

Talking to the one son he has not yet written off (but still cut out of his will) since said son will now have to keep in touch in case he does die off, he told me about when he was 14 and special ordered a custom 10-speed with the almost 1000 he saved for years only to find his father had drained his bank account of money to help start his new business. The other son he refuses to speak to for the crimes of driving his jaguar without permission (He was not insured!) and wearing his alligator skin belt without permission. I hope there was more but he stopped talking about it because the subject was making him angry.

So yeah I'm pretty sure it was related.

Assuming you're not kidding, your post is extraordinarily misleading. It's wrong to assume that the Japanese wouldn't have surrendered when there were attempts to bring it about already before the bombs were dropped. Also, the conventional bombing campaign already underway was extraordinarily effective, killing over a hundred thousand civilians in one night in one case. It's trickier than that, though, because when the Supreme Court has addressed what a Protected class of citizen is, specifically with regards to political views, it's been in reference to what's been perceived as a dangerous political view, or one that directly threatens the government or national security. I'm sure there would be a strong case that having conventional political views is hardly justification for being fired.

Of course, he'd have a hell of a time proving that's why he was fired, so it's not like a court case is ever going to happen.

I think he means that he's in a state where political views are a protected class, so the story about the radical leftist fired for his job doesn't apply to him. Which would likely be the case anyway, since your views are not of a stated opposition to your job or the US itself.

Sorry I'm a retard, meant at-will not right to work state. When you can be fired for no cause it's that much harder trying to prove you were fired for the wrong cause.

Plus to be honest I'm half relieved. There is a limit for listening to daily venom filled rants like that before it really does start to affect you.

2009 - Jeffrey is given huge doses of Ritalin He becomes a zombie. He is then tested for ADD.. The school gets extra money from the state because Jeffrey has a disability.

Scenario 4:
Billy breaks a window in his neighbor's car and his Dad gives him a whipping with his belt.

1959 - Billy is more careful next time, grows up normal, goes to college and becomes a successful businessman.
2009 - Billy's dad is arrested for child abuse. Billy is removed to
foster care and joins a gang. The state psychologist is told by Billy's sister that she remembers being abused herself and their dad goes to prison. Billy's mom has an affair with the psychologist.

Scenario 5:
Mark gets a headache and takes some aspirin to school.
1959 - Mark shares his aspirin with the Principal out on the smoking dock..
2009 - The police are called and Mark is expelled from school for drug violations.. His car is then searched for drugs and weapons.

Scenario 6:
Pedro fails high school English.
1959 - Pedro goes to summer school, passes English and goes to college.
2009 - Pedro's cause is taken up by state. Newspaper articles appear nationally explaining that teaching English as a requirement for graduation is racist. ACLU files class action lawsuit against the state school system and Pedro's English teacher. English is then banned from core curriculum.. Pedro is given his diploma anyway but ends up mowing lawns for a living because he cannot speak English.

Scenario 7:
Johnny takes apart leftover firecrackers from the Fourth of July, puts them in a model airplane paint bottle and blows up a red ant bed..
1959 - Ants die.
2009 -ATF, Homeland Security and the FBI are all called. Johnny is charged with domestic terrorism. The FBI investigates his parents --and all siblings are removed from their home and all computers are confiscated. Johnny's dad is placed on a terror watch list and is never allowed to fly again.

Scenario 8:
Johnny falls while running during recess and scrapes his knee. He is found crying by his teacher, Mary. Mary hugs him to comfort him.
1959 - In a short time, Johnny feels better and goes on playing.
2009 - Mary is accused of being a sexual predator and loses her job. She faces 3 years in State Prison. Johnny undergoes 5 years of therapy.

This is starting to pop up in places, might as well try and nip it in the bud if any of you folks know about it. I can't find anything about it on google except for a few thousand SAVE R TROOPS posts, and common sense tells me that if this many assholes support these guys they're probably guilty as hell of something really terrible.

I have seen a lot of "Obama" blame, while I agree I wish he would do more & voice outrage...he does not hold the actual power to stop the entire Navy Affairs & Prosecution process set in place. Our very government trains soldiers to fight a hostile threats with deadly force. We are seeing increased numbers of soldiers who hesitate this training/reaction in fear of actions like this. When our laws are being used against us by the very terrorist we capture...it becomes a problem...there are many great impacts this case has. This case does not warrant reasonable evidence to support the prosecution of these SEALs, and it should not have even been an issue. If the prisoner was in fact beaten (which he only claims to have been punched twice) he would have more noticeable inflictions/signs of abuse (ie bloodied eyes, bruises, fractures etc). More than likely this Terrorist didn't go lightly when the SEALs went to extract him...and chances are he was hit (which doesn't violate any law) but he is now using our legal processes against us. How far are we going to go...there is a fine line...and I believe this case is absolutely WRONG!

I think it's the false statements that are the reason those guys are getting in so much trouble, not the actual roughing up of a detainee. They lied to get out of a little bit of trouble and now find themselves in a lot more. I can't find the original news story though so I'm going off of memory. Isn't that from right before thanksgiving?

Yeah, it's pretty amazing how the illegal immigrants with no SSN or the like are able to get free dental, healthcare, and so many other services. Their kids will probably get stuff, but not them.

My finacee grew up in the south west and she tells me it's common knowledge. Literally everyone believes this. I'm sure it's true to a point (if you are bleeding out I'm sure the ER will not turn you away), but I don't think they are getting a real good social deal here.

Juan Illegal - Can be forced to do any dangerous, demeaning, or otherwise lovely job that the construction industry wants. With zero recourse of his own for injuries or exposure to hazardous materials. Routinely underpaid and threatened with deportation if he complains.
