I love how attached Hank gets to non-human things. His truck for example. And Anne Richards was a Democratic governor, so shouldn't Hank and friends hate her?

Hank always struck me as being an old school Goldwater Republican, and he's loyal to Texas first and foremost. LBJ was a Democrat, and he named his dog Lady Bird. Anne Richards was never radically leftist or anything, so it's no surprise that Hank would revere her status as (former) governor.

Yet another episode where I heard the concept and thought "Ugh, this is going to be too Simpsons-esque" and I ended up really enjoying it. Although I have to say the final few seasons are way less appealing to me with their increasingly ridiculous "New-age crap is bad!" strawmen.

There's another continuity hole with Cotton in the ZZ Top episode to. How could Lane Pratley repo a car Cotton bought when even Hank was just a kid? Seems odd that someone would have 30-40 years worth of car payments. Gilbert coming onto people is fantastic. "There's a poet in Austin I'd like to......publish"

He later takes Bobby there, only to walk into a lady Lawyer convention.

Well I'm glad I was wrong against all odds about Teletoon's schedule. They literally play it 2x as much as Comedy did. I'm not quite sure what they do when they play 2 different episodes in one day but at overlapping times. I'm also interested to see how much of it they have, since comedy was capped at S8 for years for reasons of being cheap (goin strong into the 5th season so far)
