Pronouncing it like the word Elan might make sense, but I've never heard that word and have no idea what it means, so he's ellen.

I'm almost certain Rich Burlew has explicitly stated that it was pronounced like the word.

Now we can argue about how "Elanasaurus" and "Tyrannosaurus" can be pronounced! Looking forward to a whole lotta speech bubbles in the next strip...

Maybe it was said in a previous strip?

In an alternate universe where Crono never went to 65,000,000 B.C., we are all reading the Order of the Stickasaurs from our reptilian homes. Xykon, being a skeleton, looks loving metal.

Given Haley's reaction in the second to last panel, Girad's appearance, and the sketchy details about her Father's actual whereabouts, I'm calling it now: Haley's Father is Girard, or something. I don't know guessing webcomic plotlines isn't an exact science or anything get off my back.

Nah, her reaction is carried over from the panel before. I do like how they're wearing the same boots and standing the exact same way, though.

grandfather I can see, because we know Haley's dad was a 1st edition rogue edit: to the boots thing, Elan is doing the same thing 4 panels back. I just think there aren't that many ways to draw stick figure feet

Plus Roy's left foot is six sizes smaller than his right. That would loving suck.

New strip: So much for "hey we're really moving forward with the story now!" Kind of appropriate though, given Girard's dislike of Soon and the whole "illusionist" thing.

Dooey posted:Who wants to bet the illusion is lying? Yes, it'd make little sense for it to be telling the truth. If he wanted to keep the paladins away from his gate, and it wasn't there, the worst thing to do would be to tell them it wasn't there. The spell could have instead had a different 'cryptic' clue to keep them searching the desert until they died of old age. Alternatively, he could have put down no spell at all, and had them search for the entrance eternally, thinking the it's just extremely well hidden. It's possible he put it down just to be smug, but is he that childish (sacrificing the protection of the gate) after their long adventure and the death of his friend? I'd hope it wasn't written that way. Noonsaliwah fucked around with this message at 20:10 on Dec 14, 2009 |
