Also, the Star Wars Holiday Special is a must see. In the past, I'd only been able to watch no more than 10 minutes at a time.

I've seen (part of) the Holiday Special by itself. It was an hour of really bad community theater (redundant, I know) and I walked away.

And yeah, Reign of Fire was a good one, too.

"Way to squeeze one right out, Matthew" is probably my favorite riff of any RT film. That and everyone being unable to contain themselves during the "Wow, so that's REALLY the performance you're going with huh" scene in Battlefield Earth

Ugh, I believe that was the only movie during which I fell asleep. I'm happy to hear that the RiffTrax for that is awesome, maybe now I'll be able to sit through the whole thing!

Spoken like someone who has seen one bad movie. It doesn't get into the top 50.

Great Rifftrack though, definitely worth it.

What are you having trouble playing? RiffTrax are just normal Mp3s.

Awesome. None of my favorite episodes, but they are all above average riffs. The video quality is way above YouTube (for obvious reasons). Looks to be a lot of commercials though. But its Hulu so thats ok. Hope to see more episodes off of Hulu (until Comcast closes it down anymore).

I dunno, I remember Monster A-Go-Go being kind of mediocre. It's not their fault though, that movie is just so awful and boring that you just can't do anything with it. At least Manos Hands of Fate was awful in a goofy way, Monster A-Go-Go is just...boring.

It's actually the live version from their recent tour.

Here's an official sample.

I think they should do a Rifftrax on Blood Hook, mainly because some of those that made MST3K also made Blood Hook.

Aeon Flux had a brilliant commentary on exactly what's wrong with post-Matrix action movies:

Mike: You know what makes video games fun? You can play them. Just sitting here watching this, it's pretty boring.

Drag Me to Hell was pretty good. Mike and Bill are good together (sorry, Kevin).

The movie itself was meh. I guess that the woman actually being dragged to hell was okay considering she lied about not being able to help the Gypsy woman.

Sam Raimi has done better.

Ask me about time-shares at scenic Turtle Rock!
I recently set up a surround sound system, and finally got a chance to try making a DVD with the riffers coming out of the surround speakers. I have it say it works pretty drat well. I want to go back and make all my previous Rifftrax DVD's the same way but that's probably going to be a monumental task.

Max Fleischer did a lot of great animation and then there's the Rudolph short. Yikes, that was unnerving.

The commercials were really good, especially the final one. Were they legit, or did The Onion produce them the way Something Awful did the sponsor skits from the last live show?

Overall, it was a great show. I guess my biggest quibble was I hoped Weird Al would be there to do more than just one short. Two or three would've been nice. :kiddo:

If they were made up, they did a great job of capturing the weird rear end toy commercials of the 50s & 60s.
