JaundiceDave posted:This dude has 199,537 photos on his flickr. Given that Flickr was introduced in 2004, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flickr#History Assuming he was posting at full rate as soon as it was launched (pro account, 2Gb per month limit), that's about 100 photos per day. Roughly 1 photo every 10 mins for every hour that he has been awake for the last 6 years. EDIT: 'Joined Aug 2006' which means his finger is basically glued to the shutter release. spog fucked around with this message at 06:41 on Jan 9, 2010 |

I just downloaded this. It's pretty neat, it goes through all of your photos and graphs the number of times you've used each focal length, aperture, ISO, and shutter speed. Apparently I love 28mm equiv, ISO 800 and 1/60th sec exposure. It only tabulates jpg though Anyone know of something similar that can get EXIF data from RAWs?

psylent posted:That guy is terrible How relevant this guy's story is. I just started going through last year's photos (I started shooting in May 2009) and began the process of deleting what I would now categorize as particularly bland, uninteresting photos. I'd like to be able to also delete some of these from my Flickr stream, too, but that process would be daunting due to the awkwardness of doing it from the web interface. I deleted 450 photos last night and got about 1/3 of the way through my collection of 4,000 I have stored locally. I came across quite a few that today I'd keep as well, so that was encouraging. The saying, "The difference between pros and amateurs is the number of photos one deletes", is poignant.

It's like the kid's followed up on the tips from many photographers to take as many pictures of the situation as possible. Unfortunately looks like he didn't listen to them say the situation had to be interesting or that you had to make a selection afterwards.

brad industry posted:I spent this week moving into my friend and I's new live/work studio in an old cookie factory. That pretty much rules. Though it deprives me of urbex material, I love it when old facilities like that get more life out of 'em. You'll need to have a proper name for the studio, though... there's a group here that used to work in a huge old bakery, so they're called the Bakery Photographic Collective. Please find a proper cookie-related name for yours and you'll be awesome.

What kind of scrilla are you paying for that place, Brad? Also, are there any issues one has to worry about when renting (I assume you're renting) a live-in commercial space?
