You wrote me a letter,
and this is how it went:
I've really grown fond of the Fantastic Four rifftrax.

"Wow, he became Australian there for a second!"

I think I kinda like the movie itself too now thanks to the Rifftrax (I'm sure not gonna watch it unriffed though) I know it doesn't make a lick of sense but I don't know, the actors seem to be having a lot of fun and the casting is great.

I wonder what I'd think of it if I were 12, you know?

Let's just say that movie and Rifftrax deserve each other.

As a huge The Shield fan, my favorite line in any riff is when Chiklis is staring out the cloud with the puzzled look on his face, and Mike just quietly says "Lem?"

I actually own more of the shorts than anything else. I like that they come pre-synced and since they're shorter the jokes are usually tighter as well.

I own all the shorts and while all of them are good here are my recommendations for best:

"The Trouble with Women" kind of short at 6 minutes but utterly hilarious workplace short telling supervisors not to be so goddamn sexist.

"Skipper Learns a Lesson" mainly for the subject matter of the short which is RACIST DOG.

"Patriotism" Bob Crane talks to little kids about patriotism. Oh and just about everything is patriotic according to him.

"Drugs Are Like That" two inane kids blathering on and on about what drugs are like.

"One Got Fat" this is that classic short film about monkey bicycle safety.

"The Terrible Truth" the harrowing tale of drug use that shows how a woman can go from kind of plain to smoking hot through a handy heroin addiction.

"Act Your Age" Jim vandalizes a desk and gets a lesson from the world's creepiest principal.

"Drugs Are Like That" is probably my favorite short.

"Do you see this lake? It looks pretty doesn't it? But it can kill you. Drugs are like that." ~ something like this. Best quote in the short.

I kind of hope that they go back and do the Extended Edition of Lord of the Rings, with Bill for Fellowship this time around.

And obligatory favorite lines:

Harry Potter 2
"Everyone except... you three."
"Uh, Larry, Don and... the mudblood."

Shake Hands With Danger
"Shake hands with danger!"
"Exchange terse emails with perilousness!"

Star Wars and similar movies
Any reference to 'The Porkins Incident'.

Quick question. There's a riff done in both The Room and Fast And Furious (both great 'trax but the Disembaudio parts of The Room get old fast) where they go "DISCONNECT! *BZZ* DISCONNECT!". That's gotta be a reference to something but I can't figure it out.

Anyone know what that's about?

I showed Twilight and the Rifftrax at my house to a room of about 20 people the other day, and this killed. As did Kevin's song and "I have to ride this way because of my crippling hemorrhoid problem".

Kinda regretting saying we'd do New Moon when the Rifftrax came out only for it to be announced so soon.
