The first of the space immersion threads in GBS, the "it's the johnson rod" mechanic advice ones. I found the second one every time I looked for the first one, loads of the posts were by Nuclear Pogostick in both of them but in the first one there was a spaceship ai that turned a coffee mug into a grenade and someone who recruited an entire Space Marine army? I just remember that thread making me laugh like gently caress.

A few years ago I saw a thread on some painting/art forum where the thread originator was determined to become a better artist. He would regularly update the thread with whatever work he had recently done. He began as an average artist and made little goofy character drawings, things you would draw while bored in class, but over the years his work steadily improved and toward the end of the thread he was making these incredible Renaissance-style still life paintings and had actually become an art instructor. I'd really like to find that again, the evolution was amazing.

I've been looking for that Let's Play thread where a Super Mario World game would be played by two people over a network and goons would make up increasingly-ridiculous challenges to play the game by (holding up the laptop like a controller, one person moves, another jumps, etc).

There was a thread in GBS a year or two ago that was basically the equivalent of the current Star Wars Megathread where people asked random questions about the series/extended universe. The gimmick was that the OP and a few others answered the questions via a 'council' of Sith Lords and stayed in character throughout. If anyone could link it, that'd be tremendously awesome.

There was a video on youtube that was of some kid huffing lighter fluid or something, then he started acting like a zombie. His voice got really low and loud and he started moving slowly etc.. I tried searching youtube "huffing, zombie, funny" but it didn't come up. I would really appreciate it and I'm sure someone on here has seen it.

Remember that "Automatic Mario" video a while back? This is a version of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDhYmpX9DLM Was there ever a high quality version? Considering they had to run it from an emulator, there could be a hi-rez version.

I've got two videos I remember, but cannot find. 1. "Techno Anime" - I could be wrong, but I think I remember the title being something stupidly vague like that. This wasn't some kid editing a bunch of anime together to an electronica song, but a complete short film. Things I remember about the video: - It was about souls (I think). They would get separated from people and harvested by some bad guy. He would have a big robot he controlled like a puppet, and go around eating them up. - There was a group of rogues who would try to free these soul things. In the end they eventually get the bad guy eaten by his own robot. - The end credits were a bunch of the kids in the film singing something in English. 2. Narcoleptic Puppies This was pre-youtube. Some .mov file I had on my computer forever. It was a bunch of clips of narcoleptic puppies. Things I remember: - The video looked like a VHS rip. - The most interesting thing is that it had generic drum and bass music playing throughout. - The very end started showing clips of narcolepsy in humans, including a child and someone playing pool and falling asleep I think? It was a little sad, actually. Any ideas on either of these would be great, thanks! Treytor fucked around with this message at 10:11 on Apr 10, 2010 |

I'm looking for an anime I watched with a friend years ago. I believe he told me the name translated to "Danger Girl", but I haven't found anything from searching for it. From what I remember, it was really poorly drawn, and about this girl that would always hurt herself or get into stupid situations. The one episode I remember clearly was the girl in the bathtub, and somehow she got her hair stuck in the drain and was drowning. Her roommate came in to save her, and since her head was underwater, she gave her cpr by blowing into her rear end. Any ideas as to where I could find this would be awesome. Thanks!

Some time around July 17th 2008 a company called ss8 networks inc published a pdf document onto their website called "Ready Guide to lawful intercept legislation". It made a couple of news sites: http://www.ereleases.com/pr/ss8-publishes-followup-guide-lawful-intercept-legislation-12639 http://www.examiner.com/p-197728~SS8_Publishes_Follow_up_Guide_on_Lawful_Intercept_Legislation.html http://newsblaze.com/story/2008071705330800012.pnw/topstory.html It was also digged. All links point to http://www.ss8.com/ready-guide.php but they seem to have taken it down. You could also apparently bypass the registration thing and download the pdf direct but that's also 404ing at the moment. Did anyone download that pdf and still have it, it sounds interesting. Thanks very much.

This may be easy to find with an archives account (which I do not currently have), but I would really appreciate anybody finding it: There was a hilarious YTMND I saw a couple years ago on one of those "Random YTMND Generator" threads. If I can remember clearly, it was a little cartoon guy jumping out of his clothes and onto a lady's face, and then slamming her onto his dick in an air somersault while her arms flapped (like Olive-oil from Popeye), all to George Harrison's "Set on you".

Something tells me I'm going to regret the poo poo out of asking GBS for this, but it's been bugging me lately. In 7th grade (1998-1999) I read a series of Pokemon fanfics titled "The Lost Episodes" or something similar. They were, at the time, the most goddamned hilarious thing I'd ever read and I want to see if they hold up. They were hosted on a geocities or angelfire page I think so I'm not all that hopeful Everything I've found so far is way too new, the ones I read were written off of the first gen show.

I'm looking for a really interesting zombie series that I first read a couple years ago. There were a bunch of different types of zombies, some weird cult thing, the first storyline ended with the main character sacrificing himself to kill this really powerful zombie that had been tracking him (The Licker? Something along those lines). I think the final battle happened on a bridge or something. Another storyline had started covering the events happening at some college, with a few students hiding and taking trips out for supplies, including one grisly scene involving a cafeteria. The title of the first series was something like (Name)'s Journal or Diary or something. Thanks, I've been searching for this for half a year and I'm starting to think that it doesn't exist.

If anyone could turn this up, I would pay you money* Years ago, to entertain some friends I made up a flash movie of Brak from Space Ghost singing Cannibal Corpse's song hosed With A Knife in the style of Cartoon Planet (static poses, mouth moves). It must be archived somewhere. It has to be! That magazine, Revolver, featured it in a sidebar and the only thing I can find about it via search engine is some kid asking the band if they'd ever seen it in some kind of band/fans chat session. Eventually my drive crashed and among the lost poo poo on it was the exported flash and the source files. I suppose I could remake it myself, but seriously, gently caress that. *I will not actually pay you money but I would be awfully grateful

i've looked all over on several timewaster internet game sites, and on google, but i can't find anything about this game. I believe it was japanese, or atleast the title screen was, and the whole game was clicking and dragging to throw this little silver disc thing through a maze to get it in a hole. very simple graphics, i remember a red background, and the target holes were green and a different red? I have no idea what the name was.

Some time ago, but probably within the last year, someone made a thread where they linked to a very nice flash game. It was a pixelated 2d platformer, it had nice music and I think it had won some kind of award. The goal was to explore and get out of a space ship, and it had no enemies of any kind. Anyone know which game I'm thinking of?

A long time ago in the days of 56k modems and no youtube, I had two video clips. At the end of each clip it would say "gtv" One was of winnie the poo. It played a grunge song with the sound of winnie the poo, dancing in the mirror, 'having an orgasm' when suddenly -- a nuclear explosion happens. The other video was of a fat man wearing shorts and a hat. He is standing in front of a brick wall and begins to dance around, flailing his arms about. Someone dubbed the mortal combat song with mortal combat fighting sound effects. At the end of the video he waddles off to thew right and you hear "You can't run from me, Kang!" "I don't need to run!"

Here is a tough one. Does ANYONE other than me and my sister remember an in development MMO called Cityscape? I can not find a goddamn thing about it anymore(NO it was not citiesXL). What i remember was it was a building MMO like Second Life, but it took place in a huge city and every room was accessible and you could create procedural content like SL. There was a demo video for the game and they showed off how you could access your desktop and the internet from computers, tvs and even picture frames. the guy in the video liked to boast that it was developed with the cloud engine,so the game could be run at max on any system, even cellphones. For years i have been trying to keep tabs on it but it's existence slowly melted away from the internet.
