Funny how everyone on Fox News this morning was defending the NDoP after it was ruled unconstitional.... after they were arguing the health care bill shouldn't be allowed because it's unconstitutional.

Also, they said on the show that it was a tradition in our country, something about the founding fathers (except it was passed in 1952), but failed to mention other traditions our founding fathers had that we don't honor anymore (see: Slavery).

U.S. reverses stance on treaty to regulate arms trade

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States reversed policy on Wednesday and said it would back launching talks on a treaty to regulate arms sales as long as the talks operated by consensus, a stance critics said gave every nation a veto.

The decision, announced in a statement released by the U.S. State Department, overturns the position of former President George W. Bush's administration, which had opposed such a treaty on the grounds that national controls were better.

On Wednesday Obama Took the First Major Step in a Plan to Ban All Firearms in the United States . The Obama administration intends to force gun control and a complete ban on all weapons for US citizens through the signing of international treaties with foreign nations. By signing international treaties on gun control, the Obama administration can use the US State Department to bypass the normal legislative process in Congress.

Once the US Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments. These are laws that have been developed and promoted by organizations such as the United Nations and individuals such as George Soros and Michael Bloomberg. The laws are designed and intended to lead to the complete ban and confiscation of all firearms.

The Obama administration is attempting to use tactics and methods of gun control that will inflict major damage to our 2nd Amendment before US citizens even understand what has happened. Obama can appear before the public and tell them that he does not intend to pursue any legislation (in the United States) that will lead to new gun control laws, while cloaked in secrecy, his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton is committing the US to international treaties and foreign gun control laws. Does that mean Obama is telling the truth?

What it means is that there will be no publicized gun control debates in the media or votes in Congress. We will wake up one morning and find that the United States has signed a treaty that prohibits firearm and ammunition manufacturers from selling to the public. We will wake up another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that prohibits any transfer of firearm ownership. And then, we will wake up yet another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that requires US citizens to deliver any firearm they own to the local government collection and destruction center or face imprisonment.

This is not a joke nor a false warning. As sure as government health care will be forced on us by the Obama administration through whatever means necessary, so will gun control.

Please forward this message to others who may be concerned about the direction in which our country is headed.

We are being led like a lamb to the slaughter (Socialism/Dictatorship).

Usually unreferenced quotes in fundie or otherwise conservative chain emails tend to be fake, not the person the quote comes from, or misquoted.

http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Benjamin_Franklin details it and why it isn't credible.

I have come across other sources saying that lunch comes from the 1820s so the word didn't exist in Franklin's time. The dinner in the phrase seems to come from another person's version of the quote so the chain emailer hosed up the fake Franklin quote.

Obviously international arms trade treaties aimed at controlling the exports of AK-47's and RPG's to places like Somalia is in reality a ploy so that George Soros can disarm US civilians.

"WE NOTICED"

President Obama:

Today I read of your administrations' plan to re-define September 11 as a National Service Day. Sir, it's time we had a talk.........

During your campaign, Americans watched as you made mockery of our tradition of standing and crossing your heart when the Pledge of Allegiance was spoken. You, out of four people on the stage, were the only one not honoring our tradition.

YES, "We noticed."

During one of your many speeches, Americans heard you say that you intended to visit all 57 states. We all know that Islam, not America has 57 states.

YES, "We noticed."

When President Bush leaned over at Ground Zero and gently placed a flower on the memorial, while you nonchalantly tossed your flower onto the pile without leaning over.

YES, "We noticed."

Every time you apologized to other countries for America's position on an issue we have wondered why you don't share our pride in this great country. When you have heard foreign leaders berate our country and our beliefs, you have not defended us. In fact, you insulted the British Crown beyond belief.

YES, "We noticed."

When your pastor of 20 years, "God-damned America" and said that 9/11 was "America's chickens coming home to roost" and you denied having heard recriminations of that nature, we wondered how that could be. You later disassociated yourself from that church and
Pastor Wright because it was politically expedient to do so.

YES, "We noticed."

When you announced that you would transform America, we wondered why. With all her faults, America is the greatest country on earth. Sir, KEEP THIS IN MIND, "if not for America and the people who built her, you wouldn't be sitting in the White House now." Prior to your election to the highest office in this Country, you were a senator from Illinois and from what we can glean from the records available, not a very remarkable one.

YES, "We noticed."

All through your campaign and even now, you have surrounded yourself with individuals who are basically unqualified for the positions for which you appointed them. Worse than that, the majority of them are people who, like you, bear no special allegiance, respect, or affection for this country and her traditions.

YES, "We noticed."

You are 9 months into your term and every morning millions of Americans wake up to a new horror heaped on us by you. You seek to saddle working Americans with a health care/insurance reform package that, along with cap and trade, will bankrupt this nation.

YES, "We noticed."

We seek, by protesting, to let our representatives know that we are not in favor of these crippling expenditures and we are labeled "un-American", "racist", "mob". We wonder how we are supposed to let you know how frustrated we are. You have attempted to make our protests seem isolated and insignificant. Until your appointment, Americans had the right to speak out.

YES, "We noticed."

On September 11, 2001 there were no Republicans or Democrats, only Americans. And we all grieved together and helped each other in whatever way we could. The attack on 9/11 was carried out because we are Americans.

And YES, "We noticed."

There were many of us who prayed that as a black president you could help unite this nation. In six months you have done more to destroy this nation than the attack on 9/11. You have failed us.

YES, "We noticed."

September 11 is a day of remembrance for all Americans. You propose to make 9/11 a "National Service Day". While we know that you don't share our reverence for 9/11, we pray that history will report your proposal as what it is...a disgrace.

YES, "We noticed."

You have made a mockery of our Constitution and the office that you hold. You have embarrassed and slighted us in foreign visits and policy.

YES, "We noticed.."

We have noticed all these things. We will deal with you. When Americans come together again, it will be to remove you from office.

Take notice.

If you agree with this please pass it on.

Following the devastating earthquake in Haiti, the United
States rushed in to help - with money, medicine, and
manpower. To date, we've already given over $179 million
in humanitarian aid... but Barack Obama has just ordered
all U.S. installations to take down their American flags,
lest we be seen as an "occupying army" rather than "international partners."

It is patently appalling that a president of the United
States would consider our flag to be a symbol of
militaristic takeovers and colonialism, especially when
serving (to a greater degree than any other nation on
Earth) a humanitarian purpose.

Additionally, who would think we'd want to
occupy Haiti?!

No other country giving aid in Haiti has lowered its flag.
But then again, no other country has
a leader who is offended by
their own flag.

If we don't beat our chests and shout our names out any time we go somewhere, then we must hate our country.

Snopes.com has the story. They consider it a slip of the tongue due to being tired since obama halts during saying it. He meant to say 47 contintental states he had visited. http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/57states.asp

Also the insult the British royals is hilarious since the British royals and newscasters were saying the Americans didn't have to follow any such protocol (no protocol exists for touching royals apparently) and that the Queen was being very friendly so Michele reciprocated which the Queen responded even more favorably to.

The Daily Show did a hilarious segment with John Oliver about this.

BETTER READ THIS ONE AND GET READY TO VOTE SOME POLITICANS OUT OF OFFICE,.

To All: This scares the hell out of me -- even more than the health payment bill. This is "cap and trade" and, if enacted, it will usher in the bureaucratic socialistic state for sure with more and more like it to follow. This one MUST be stopped at all costs! If you think I'm overreacting, just read below what only one part of this bill will cost each and every one of us all if we don't stop it.

If you own a home or want to buy one -- this is a "MUST READ!"

Don't want to be bothered with "Political stuff?" You'd better read this one. It will come as a huge shock to you if you aren't informed as to what Obama is up to -- and it has already passed one hurdle. It will take very little now to put it into actual law!! YOU'D BETTER WAKE UP, AMERICA !!!!

So you think you live in a free country.

Boy, have you got a surprise coming.

A LICENSE required for your HOUSE?

If you own your home, you really need to check this out. At the end of this e-mail is the Google link to verify. If the country thinks the housing market is depressed now, wait until everyone sees this. No one will be buying homes in the future.

We encourage you to read the provisions of the Cap and Trade Bill that has passed the House of Representatives and is now being considered by the Senate. Are you ready to join the next march on Washington ? You will be if the Senate even looks like they might enact this bill. This Congress and their "experts" are truly out to destroy the middle class of the U.S.A.

A LICENSE will be required for your house...no longer just for cars and mobile homes....Thinking about selling your house? Take a look at H.R. 2454 (Cap and Trade bill). This is unbelievable! Home owners take note and tell your friends and relatives who are home owners!

Beginning one year after enactment of the Cap and Trade Act, you won't be able to sell your home unless you retrofit it to comply with the energy and water efficiency standards of this "Cap & Trade" bill, passed by the House of Representatives. If it is also passed by the Senate, it will be the largest tax increase any of us has ever experienced.

The Congressional Budget Office (supposedly non-partisan) estimates that in just a few years the average cost to every family of four will be $6,800 per year with increasing costs to follow. No one who owns improved real estate is excluded. However, once the lower classes feel the pinch in their wallets, you can be sure that these voters will get a tax refund from the Federal Government (even if they pay no taxes at all) to offset this new cost. Thus, you Mr. and Mrs. Middle Class will have to pay even more since additional tax dollars will be needed to bail out everyone else..

But wait. This awful bill (that no one in Congress has actually read) has many more surprises in it. Probably the worst one is this: A year from now you won't be able to sell your house without some bureaucrat's OK. Yes, you read that right.

The caveat (there always is a caveat) is that if you have enough money to make required major upgrades to your home, then you can sell it. But, if not, then forget it. Even pre-fabricated homes ("mobile homes") are included. In effect, this bill prevents you from selling your home without the permission of the EPA administrator.

To get this permission, you will have to have the energy efficiency of your home measured. Then the government will tell you what your new energy efficiency requirement is and you will be required to make modifications to your home under the retrofit provisions of this Act to comply with the new energy and water efficiency requirements.

Then you will have to get your home measured again and get a license (called a "label" in the Act) that must be posted on your property to show what your efficiency rating is; sort of like the Energy Star efficiency rating label on your refrigerator or air conditioner. If you don't get a high enough rating, you will not be allowed to sell it!

And, to make matters ever worse, the EPA Administrator is authorized to raise the standards every year, even above the automatic energy efficiency increases built into the Act. The EPA Administrator, appointed by the President, will run the Cap & Trade program (AKA the "American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009") and is authorized to make any future changes to the regulations and standards he/she alone determines to be in the government's (not your) best interests. Requirements in the bill are initially set low so the bill will pass Congress -- but they are still higher than ther are now. Then the Administrator can set new standards every year.

The Act itself contains annual required increases in energy efficiency for private and commercial residences and buildings. However, the EPA Administrator can set higher standards at any time. Sect.. 202 - Building Retrofit Program mandates a national retrofit program to increase the energy efficiency of all existing homes across America .

Beginning one year after enactment of the Act, you won't be able to sell your home unless you retrofit it to comply with the then-current energy and water efficiency standards. You had better sell soon, because the standards will be raised each year and will be really hard (read that expen$ive) to meet in a few years. Oh, goody! I just can't wait for all these great "changes" our President has in store for us!

The Act allows the government to give you a grant of several thousand dollars to comply with the retrofit program requirements IF you meet certain energy efficiency levels. But, wait, then it also allows the State to set additional requirements on who qualifies to receive the grants. You should expect requirements such as "can't have an income of more than $50K per year," and/or "home selling price can't be more than $125K," and/or anything else to target the upper middle class (that includes YOU!!) and prevent you from qualifying for the grants. (The Messiah giveth and the Messiah taketh away!)

Most of us won't get a dime and will have to pay the entire cost of the retrofit out of our own pockets. More transfer of wealth, more "change you can believe in." Sect. 204 - Building Energy Performance Labeling Program establishes a labeling program that, for each individual residence, will identify the achieved energy efficiency performance for "at least 90 percent of the residential market within 5 years after the date of the enactment of this Act."

This means that, within 5 years, 90% of all residential homes in the U.S. must be measured and labeled. The EPA Administrator will get $50M each year to enforce the labeling program. The Secretary of the Department of Energy will get an additional $20M each year to help the EPA. Some of this money will, of course, be spent on coming up with tougher standards each year.

The "label" will be like a license for your car. You will be required to post the label in a conspicuous location on or in your home and will not be allowed to sell your home without having this label. And, just like your car license, you will be required to get a new label every so often -- probably eventually every year.

But, the government estimates the cost of measuring the energy efficiency of your home should only cost about $200 each time. Remember what they said about the auto smog inspections when they first started that in California ? It would only cost $15. That was when the program started. Now the cost is about $50 for the inspection and certificate.

Expect the same from the home labeling program. Sect. 304 - Greater Energy Efficiency in Building Codes establishes new energy efficiency guidelines for the National Building Code and mandates in Sect. 304(d) that one year after enactment of this Act, all state and local jurisdictions must adopt the National Building Code energy efficiency provisions or must obtain a certification from the federal government that their state and/or local codes have been brought into full compliance with the National Building Code energy efficiency standards.

The instructor explained that the president does not have that kind of power but her response was always "Well I had just heard that he told congress to pass it or else!"

Later, the other loving guy from earlier said "I think Obama just has an honest disdain for the American people."

Holy gently caress I'm still pissed over this.

Yes, he hates this country so much he wasted his entire adult life creating a :lost: level conspiracy that involves working like a mad man to become a constitutional law professor and running for the presidency where he will be watched and commented on every second of the day and every act he does will be dissected to microscopic pieces now and for years to come. He's smart enough to do all that but not smart enough to find an easier way to express his loathing for this awful awful land.

I mean, it's either that or I'm a simpleton rear end in a top hat who makes poo poo up so I don't have to face the fact that an election didn't go my way. And I mean, what are the chances there?

Oh boy, I get a bunch of these now that my grandmother has gotten a hold on my email address.

I like how they pretend Obama stole the election by using statistics per county, not per person or per state (also, they flipped the number of states won). Then throw in that that Obama supportors are illegally immigrated, destitute murderers who leech off the government.

It does not hurt to read this several times.

cid:[redacted]

Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning

November 04, 2008 Presidential election:

* Number of States won by: Obama: 19 McCain: 29
* Square miles of land won by: Obama: 580,000 McCain: 2,427,000

Population of counties won by: Obama: 127 million

McCain: 143 million

Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by:

Obama: 13.2 McCain: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory McCain won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.

Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..."

Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegals and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

If you are in favor of this, then by all means, delete this message.

If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom.

My favorite part of this one is that it is literally just a copy/replace of an email sent out around the 2000 elections, with "Obama" substituted for "Gore" and "McCain" for "Bush". They didn't even bother to change any of the numbers!

Proof

Oh, and I have to include this one too because it's hilarious.

IF YOU CROSS THE IRANIAN BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU ARE DETAINED INDEFINITELY.

IF YOU CROSS THE AFGHAN BORDER ILLEGALLY, YOU GET SHOT.

IF YOU CROSS THE SAUDI ARABIAN BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU WILL BE JAILED.

IF YOU CROSS THE CHINESE BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU MAY NEVER BE HEARD FROM AGAIN.

IF YOU CROSS THE VENEZUELAN BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU WILL BE BRANDED A SPY AND YOUR FATE WILL BE SEALED.

IF YOU CROSS THE CUBAN BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU WILL BE THROWN INTO POLITICAL PRISON TO ROT.

IF YOU CROSS THE U.S. BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU GET:

1 - A JOB,
2 - A DRIVERS LICENSE,
3 - SOCIAL SECURITY CARD,
4 - WELFARE,
5 - FOOD STAMPS,
6 - CREDIT CARDS
7 - SUBSIDIZED RENT OR A LOAN TO BUY A HOUSE,
8 - FREE EDUCATION,
9 - FREE HEALTH CARE,
10 - A LOBBYIST IN WASHINGTON
11 - BILLIONS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF PUBLIC DOCUMENTS PRINTED IN YOUR LANGUAGE
12 - AND THE RIGHT TO CARRY YOUR COUNTRY'S FLAG WHILE YOU PROTEST THAT YOU DON'T GET ENOUGH RESPECT

I JUST WANTED TO MAKE SURE I HAD A FIRM GRASP ON THE SITUATION...

Do you see something wrong with this or, is it just me?

I'd be tempted to add...
WHY ARE WE NOT MORE LIKE THESE OPPRESSIVE NATIONS THAT WE DECLARE TO BE EVIL?

Conspicuously missing are developed/ing nations like Great Britain, Brazil, Japan, France, Germany, Russia... Oh, right, I forgot they are all liberal commies.

Yeah that just infuriates me, along with the fact that the people who would send this email invariably wouldn't care if this was pointed out to them, it's just as "true" in their mind regardless of the actual facts.

Earlier today I saw a bumper sticker that said "UNCLE SAM WANTS YOU TO SPEAK ENGLISH". I'll never understand this argument that you must know English if you wish to live and work in America. All of the anger for dialing one to continue, I just don't get it.

What's even better is that all the bitching about stores being bilingual and stuff is due to free market capitalism - Penny's sells more pants if they have clerks who speak Spanish. No one is forcing the bilingual stuff, it's all voluntary in search of higher sales.

So they want government to step in and interfere with business' right to make money the way they see fit.
