Not only was it Zoso's birthday last week, but it was Ed's too! Happy birthday to you. You live in a zoo. You look like an rear end in a top hat. And you act like one, too. Congrats on being five years old, I guess.

My newly adopted shelter kitty, Moo. She is 2 1/2, this was her first time checking out the 'balcony'. They shaved her front legs looking for tattoos. I don't think it is the best hair cut she has ever had but she is still very cute. jsmith114 fucked around with this message at 02:14 on Apr 20, 2010 |

I'm in an Intro to Electronic Music class in college and our final project is to make a song, then set it to a video, where it's presented in a concert-ish auditorium event for the interested public. My video is a bunch of pictures of my cats Leia and Voxel. This is the first thing approaching a "song" I've ever made, so don't judge it too hard... I only started a few months ago. Also, it's my first video with Final Cut Pro, so same deal there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxEQGWYB2EA

Look at them fat beagles: It's like sticking your head out the car window. Except the whole boat is out the window. And you get to lay in the sun while you do it. It's basically the most awesome thing ever. This is as good a picture as I can get of them because they're all terrified of cameras. This is Jessie, the ten-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Beagle, adopted from the RSPCA six years ago. She doesn't act like she's ten, and most people don't believe me when I tell them that she is. She is an incredibly lazy bastard when she is not on walks or being played with by people (her favourite thing ever). She dislikes other dogs, but we're working on that, and she's doing much better with dogs her size or smaller. She still tries to protect me from 'big' dogs though.

Name: Floyd Pretty sure he is a pure Bassett, though some of his physical features and disposition seem to indicate he has some Beagle in him, as well. Got him from a rescue shelter; he came in as a stray. Based on his amazing temperment and manners, I'm guessing he wandered away from home. Amazing dog

This is Dess (Drexciya), our 11-year-old shelter kitty we adopted on Sunday afternoon. When we went to the shelter to meet her, we were told that she was a 'problem cat': she had been returned by her owners for not using the litterbox, biting and anxiety. In the shelter she was showing severe anxiety and stress, taking chunks out of whoever came near her, and growling/hissing every time someone peered into her cubicle. Fair enough really. We read her socialisation and medical notes, and notes that she had come in with cystitis, and her family had small children, as well as a noisy house. She had been in the shelter the longest out of all the cats - since early February. This would not stand! We had to take her. I was confident that her behaviours were due to stress and her environment, so we took her home the very same day. Turns out it was all lies! After 3 hours in a quiet home, she's the sweetest most loving cat; she hasn't peed anywhere strange (yet), no growling or lashing out, and she even follows us around and plays with her new toys! She does let us know when she's had enough, however. This happens a lot. But we love her anyway! Hooray for giving an old cat a third chance!

This is Bayord, The best little Doberman. Both my parents dogs are AKC registered, and they don't make a habit of letting them bread, but my dad won't fix our male till he has his full growth. He doesn't cry, bite, or do almost any of the annoying little puppy things, and remains fearless in the face of dogs many times his size.

Professor X, you have the late model of my cat. My version's called Peanut. I wish I had better sized versions of his kitten photos: he had the same triangular head and all. Got him when he was a week.

She comes when you call her, and she can still jump up on tall counters as easily as she could when she was young. She loves to have her tummy rubbed and rolling around in the dust like a chinchilla. And this is Kuma. She's a poofy lard who follows you everywhere and needs an escort to the food bowl. Juno and Kuma don't get along. You'd think after 13 years they'd be friends! She's a sweetie though.

Aaaaaw, is that white one a ragdoll? Anyway, here's mine. I don't think I have any kitten pictures lying around, but we had one from when he was a kitten. When you buy a kitten from this breeder, you agree to not sell them on as the breeder wants to clear everybody personally, so later we received a phone call about whether or not we wanted another cat from the same litter as our first one for free, because the previous owner couldn't have him anymore. Needless to say, you always need more cats. Here's the two brothers:
