There is a 1968 BSA Lightning with 12k on the clock going up for auction this weekend not too far from me. The bike is described as mint, and the one picture I have seen appears to support that claim. Any idea what it is worth? I love the look of it and if the price is right I might just buy it.

Please lets not waste each others time its Fathers Day!! Call if interested and see about setting up a time.. ONCE AGAIN NEEDS SOME WORK!!! Has all the plastic parts and seat is in great shape!! And Happy Fathers Day to all!!! This would be a starter bike for me, I've never had one. Not sure if its the best idea to get one that needs work, but this seems like a good deal. If it doesn't at least run, don't bother. If it won't idle, that's acceptable, as long as it'll rev cleanly. If he can't get it to start, walk, you don't want a non-runner as a starter bike unless you'd rather wrench than ride.

I really want to bid on this. KL250 that isn't running from suspected electrical problems. Current bid is 50AUD. The problem is it's 13 hours away and I only have a hatchback. Probably impossible to get a roadworthy on as well which would make it useless, but $50!

Sometimes I think there should be a moto rescue network similar to what they have for abused animals... I hate this motorcycle. Come get it. Won't start. I replaced the tank, cleaned the carbs and put in a newer battery. Fired up and ran fine. Let it sit for a couple months and now it won't start. Has good spark but won't run. I kicked it to the ground and broke off the right side foot peg and brake handle. I was going to light it on fire but thought someone might want it for parts. Everything is there. It comes complete with battery, 4) K&N Filters and all the body work. Tires fair. Its beat up and quite possibly the ugliest bike I've ever seen. First $300 takes it. Clear Title. http://detroit.craigslist.org/wyn/mcy/1839839410.html

The pictured CB360 was chained to a wall in a Grand Rapids basement and flogged repeatedly. 2005 Kawasaki ZX6R 636. This is a great bike. I really am going to miss it. 14.5 K miles, mostly from commuting. I never laid this bike down and the paint is beatifull. Its pretty much stock except that I lowered the gearing the last time I changed the chain and sprockets. Also I took off the rear fender and replaced it with cleaner looking license plate holder. Also has under body glow lights. I know, a little cheesy but they were 50 bucks and I was bored. I am very motivated to sell!! reply to email or call or text at 337-353-7626. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/mcy/1841741382.html Curse me for having 2 bikes already Although I would be able to buy this easily RIGHT NOW.... argh, my favorite color of Ninja too. Someone stop me or try to goad me into getting it.

benwards posted:I almost bought this bike, but instead grabbed an 02 SV650. I think you should buy it because 636s are pimp as hell, and you *know* you wanna rock that underlighting... Well i'm sure it's easy as hell to remove, I've been eyeing one for a while, I think some kind of ticket or something cleared up on my record (over 3 years ago) so I can probably swing the 200ish a year for liability.... pros: Awesome bike, i've always wanted one, friend has one and loves it, my #1 color choice, #2 would be green of course, looks to be in nice condition. it'd be my first fuel injected bike, (is this a lot nicer to have? My carbed bikes have no problems starting) Quoted 194$/year for liability pretty easy to afford. My birthday is next month too.... Cons: I'd have 3 drat bikes, and I don't want to sell any current ones because i'm a sentimental idiot, I ride both my bikes pretty often and having a 3rd would mess up my usual pattern. My folks would think i'm an idiot for buying 3 bikes in less than a year, wouldn't be enough space in the garage either. Would it be too early for a late model supersport for me? I've done roughly 7500 miles since I started riding, although it's mostly freeway with a little bit of riding around the city of San Francisco. The CBR F2 is pretty fast as it is although I understand these are a bit more top end power oriented and even lighter.
