Apparently I just won 4 tickets to the English Beat/Bad Manners show at Toad's Place in New Haven, CT. It's this Thursday, the 19th. Not a chance I'll be able to make it, but if anyone can and wants the tickets, let me know.

I have a friend who lives in Philly and one who used to go to school in Boston. I might end up having to see them in NY, go to Philly for friday/saturday to hang out with my friend and see them again and then head up to Boston and crash my friend's old frat and see them a 3rd time.

I just saw Less Than Jake the past two nights in small venues in the Philly suburbs, and the bit of news they shared: they just recorded an EP of TV theme songs. They played something off it I completely didn't recognize, which makes me feel good about myself because apparently it was for iCarly. Also, I got to hear them play National Anthem. Finally. Love that song.

It's actually kind of cool to hear LTJ is doing another covers album. It's been a while.

Ska covers...how original! Best cover I ever heard was a little band in CT called the Fryalators doing Madonnas "Holiday" at the El'n Gee in New London sometime in the late 1990s. Maybe 98 or 99.

Holy loving balls Every bit of that show was awesome. Every single bit. e: Except for the part where I almost got tossed three songs into the Bosstones' set because a drunk girl kept hitting me (like literally, she was elbowing me in the gut on purpose) and I pushed her off and she said I swung on her. Then there was a fight. That was p ownage. BENGHAZI 2 fucked around with this message at 16:59 on Aug 27, 2010 |
